Dear Sir / Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry.

A new dependent can be added during the processing of an application. You must submit a new application form including this new dependent on the applicant’s form for permanent resident.

In order to add the child to an application for permanent residence at this office, we require the following documents:

· processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)

· your child’s birth certificate

· copy of your child’s valid passport

· 4 recent photographs of your child

· updated IMM0008 Generic for yourself and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself and your spouse.

Copies of the original documents with original certified translations into English or French are required. All documents must be sent by mail.

Your child must undergo a medical examination. Be aware that even non-accompanying dependents must undergo medical examinations.

Application forms and photo specifications are available on our Web site here.

Please note that the eligibility of new dependents will be assessed by the visa officer.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post to the applicant at the mailing address provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

Yours sincerely,

Security Screening takes a lot more time, however, S.15 verifications are much faster than S.16. You are in final stage and you should receive approval as soon as it finishes.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. Rest God is great and help us all.

Your file is going through Security Screening under S.15 and once completed your file shall get approval. However, time for these checks takes 3-6 months on average.
Really..!!
Is that your input?! :D
My file is undergoing SS, and it will be updated once completed..!
I’ve laughed a lot after reading your reply.
Thanks mate, that was hilarious.

I guess you are Paper based Applicant, not sure can be anywhere from coming Monday to may be 2 years, depending how long your SS will continue or if it has already been completed
My background check started on February 28/18, however my AOR was April 2017. No medical request yet.
What is the general observation how long it take to complete BGC with no travel history outside of resident country.
Thanks

That is indeed unfortunate to hear. Thank you for your response.
Unfortunately, you seem to be selected for security screening and it can take much longer in case of backlogs. As soon as your results are received they will update you.
Thank you @BillHyatt. Could you please elaborate more on why you believe my file is ongoing security screening ? I would also like to know from when I should start counting the 3-6 months that this process takes, is it from R10 ?

Ohhh.... thanks for the information. I read somewhere in the forum that for PNP candidates security screening is done while nomination itself... anywez my friend applied after me under fsw he received the ppr but I am still in IP2. Do you have any idea why they are not giving preference to PNP candidates.
Yes, that's true that FSW applications are processed much faster than PNP. This is mainly due to Resources they put on each stream and backlogs.

Files selected for Security Screening will see S.15 or S.16 with blank pages in their GCMS notes while for normal files this will not be the case.

Sorry, brother but that's the only thing I can say. Security Screening is an unpredictable and painful process. The information is not shared by the IRCC and therefore, it is hard to say what exactly is going on. If your file is selected due to International Relations or due to your Nationality then this will not take much time. However, if the matter is related to Financial or Criminal Investigation then it takes a lot more time.

I hope this will help. Good Luck with your speedy PPR.

AOR : 19/06/2017
Medicals : 23/05/17
File transfer: 25/08/17
IP2: 20/12/17
GCMS notes says : All cleared , security not started as of Jan-07 -2018
Security: The One and only thing pending
Emails from DRD says : file with immigration officer under review
Not quite sure what to decipher from all this
Indian nationality
Visa office : London
Travel & PCC : UK ,UAE & India
Security Screening : not sure

Any thoughts ???
Usually, Indian Nationals gets the fastest PPR. So, it is really unfortunate to see your file being delayed for so long. You can order GCMS Notes for more details and find out what kind of reviews are being carried out.
