Current Wait Time? ( 1 Year?! )

Just applied for my Citizenship, My IMM Lawyer said the current wait time is aprox 1 year.
Is this true? A few friends of mine applied late last year and it was only a 3 month wait.

Yup. It can take up to one year or less. The best you can do is chill and wait.

If there is one certainty in regards to timelines, it's that no two applications will be the same. There are many factors, even down to which officer in which office location that is assigned to your application. Three months is pretty fast. If that was a recent application (last couple of years), I'd wonder if it was an expedited case due to an urgent need.
