Friends, need some information regarding PCC.
I want to get my PCC done in advance.
I am working in city A from the last 5 years but address in my passport is of City B, where my parents live, my permanent address.
Just wanted to know if I could get my PCC done from City B.
Or, I have to get it done from City A only as I am residing here from last couple of years.

I am a bit apprehensive as this might become a point for rejection of my application, as I am living in one city from 5 years but getting the PCC from another.

Thanks in advance!

PCC is by country, do no matter if your get from a city which is different than passport.. just make sure it is within 6 months when submitting application..

PCC is country-based. If you live in a rented accommodation, carry rent agreement and a photo passbook with your current address when you apply through the PSK (no need to go to local police station although a PCC from them is also valid). PCC expires after six months, so don't get it done much in advance.

5.5 Maintaining a Valid Express Entry Profile

You must maintain a valid profile in the Express Entry system from the time of application until the time of nomination. If you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) while your application is being processed by the OINP, your profile will no longer be available in the Express Entry system for nomination. You must advise the OINP of your intention to:

 reject the ITA issued by IRCC and request that the OINP continue to process your application, or
 withdraw your application to the OINP.

If you reject the ITA, you must provide the OINP with a screenshot showing that you have rejected the ITA from IRCC. If you wish to withdraw your application, please see the instructions in section 5.7.

This clearly states even if OINP application is under process you can still receive ITA from IRCC

I don't think so..
Read the below section from the pdf:

We have accepted NOI from Ontario too....were still hoping for a direct ITA....from all that i read on the thread and otherwise i thought we were still eligible for direct ITA....is that not so? I was under the impression that the 1500 CAD is non refundable but you are still eligible for direct ITA untill and unless you accept the nomination and gain the 600 points....anyone with more knowledge/experience please help.... @abhishek_89
Yes, your understanding is correct. Unless you accept the nomination (after the OINP application is processed and approved), you are eligible for receiving a direct ITA. Accepting NOI (Notification of Interest to apply for OINP) is just the 1st step in the OINP process and it does not hamper your eligibility to receive direct ITA.

NOI and Nomination are different things. People do get confused with the same.

Hello guys,

Is it mandatory to include all work history in the Express Entry profile? Is it OK to include only work history that is relevant to the EE? My partner has a Canadian work experience in two different positions, which both of them are considered as skilled. However, one of his jobs ended up for him very badly. He quit on bad terms because he did not do that job and worked in a different job/position with a same company, which is not skilled. He was just given a title that was in the skilled category. His current job is in the skilled category and he got it everything by himself so there are should not be any problem if he gets invited to obtain all letters including job duties. Please advice me and my partner what to do. He wants to delete some of his work history in his profile and leave his current job, which is skilled. If he deletes his other job then his points will drop, but again, if he gets selected it will be almost impossible to get letters from his previous employer which ended for him kinda badly. Please advice what is the best option for him?
you include whatever you are claiming points for in Work History as you need to substantiate it with proof. Whatever you are not claiming points for/don't want to go to the trouble of getting proof for, you can include in Personal History.

You only include work history, that is enough to get you the points needed for ITA.
However, in the personal history section, all work history in last ten years has to be compulsory mentioned. There is no need to show work experience proofs for all the work. But experience letters for any work experience, for whichever points are being claimed, has to be compulsorily presented. There is no way out of it.

Hello everyone,
I had received my AOR, but while reviewing the documents that was submitted, I noted that my name was mentioned differently in different records.
E.g.
My name was mentioned as John Doe P. S. (initials) in degree certificates and parent's column in my child's birth certificate
My name was mentioned as John Doe Pascal Sam in passport

While WES was evaluated, both these names were noted in the WES certificate as John Doe Pascal Sam (P S)

No name change was made; it is just that sometimes, we use initials.
I just wanted to stay clear of any issues that may arise because of the name differences in my child's birth certificate.

Is it possible to add an additional document like a a notarized self affidavit (stating both names are same) now ?

If you have clarified this in your Letter of Explanation, that would suffice.
