Many applicants with status changed to IP2 have received PPR BUT not from London Visa Office yet. I am trying to contact London Visa Office officer to confirm any updates on files and will update if any information is received.
That’d be great. Waiting! :)

Thanks a lot, sir. Please also try to ask about those whose review of additional documents section changed to not applicable on February 27. It’s a humble request.

I have contacted an Officer in London Visa Office and the reply regarding issues is as follow:

BGC: The Status represents the information available to IRCC and doesn’t apply to Local Visa Office. BGC only applies to LVO once Migration Officer has started working on the file. This means IRCC starts BGC on its own and LVO has nothing to do with that except using results while making the final decision.

Another interesting fact that Officer told was that, applicants who receive email from LVO regarding BGC ongoing is actually referred to Security Screening and not the standard BGC that all applicants go through.

ADR: These statuses are changed once analyst updates notes or records but are also sensitive to technical errors. Status “we do not” represents that no additional document is required while “Not Applicable” means documents are reviewed and no further document is required at the moment. In case it shows blank space then it is a technical error.

There is no specific status before PPR.

Statuses: Many applications are finalised and approved however PPR will be sent in batches which can take time.

27/2 IP2 Applicants with July End or beyond AOR should wait as most of the files are still not opened and needs a review from Migration Officer before updating BGC results. BGC results can either be updated immediately by migration officer or can recommend security screening for applicants from specific backgrounds.

So in conclusion BGC (27/2) is being conducted by IRCC Agencies however London Visa Office has not started working on files yet.

This means when migration officer will start reviewing files they will already have your BGC results and they can finalise the file on the same day. However, no one can predict when they will start reviewing those files.

I hope this information will clear things.

Now whenever someone sends an email inquiry into the application status. We all got more or less the same response of BGC under process.

Could it be that your source was referring if LVO initiated the communication to inform the applicant they are currently under BGC?

Appreciate if you can clear this misunderstanding.

Thank you so much so selflessly taking the time to give us these updates! It really does help ease the tension.

So does this mean if your AOR is after July and you are in IP2 ie ADR says "we do not need additional documents" and BGC says "we are processing your background check " it's possible that the Immigration Officer has either not opened your file to review OR that PPR is in line to be sent.

@BillHyatt
Yesterday, I have emailed LVO inquiring about my status and here is the response I received today. What do you think my status is considering the I am FSWO, 22 Sept AOR and 27 Feb IP2:

Dear Sir,

Your case is currently with an officer at the moment for review. We appreciate your frustration with the delay but please be assured we will let you know as soon as have an update.

Kind regards,

DJM

It is possible that migration officer has not yet started your file. LVO officer will initiate BGC separately and according to an officer, they haven't started yet for applicants who went to IP2 on 27/2. So, anyone who was in IP2 before 27/2 would probably have their file reviewed by a migration officer.

I can't comment on FSW applications at the moment as they are processed every week. My focus is on PNP applications that are processed on a quarterly basis.

According to your status, I would recommend you to call IRCC after 21 days from now to confirm status. If your file is approved they will let you know.

Yes, that was quite surprising to me. However, I was told that London has not initiated any Background Checks for new batches and it may have been started by IRCC as a part of security check. They didn't comment on a Technical glitch.

Usually, LVO will reply back stating your file is under review or with an officer in our London Office but if someone receives that background check is going on then it is probably referred to the one initiated by LVO and not IRCC Main Office and in most cases, it is security screening.

Lets see things will unfold in coming days.
