Quebec has separate province nomination program, it is totally separate from EE.

There is no issue in processing PR as long as you meet PR requirements.

Hi Guys,
I am the primary applicant for the express entry and my spouse is a dependent applicant. But right now my spouse is planning to go for her higher studies in Quebec. Is there any issues for processing the PR ( for both of us) while she is in Quebec ( student visa)? Is there any separate express entry for Quebec? Please provide your suggestions. Thanks.

Hi Guys,
I will be relocating with in the state in some time and i will not stay in the address mentioned in my passport which i have given in my EE profile.
Post relocation should i change the address in my passport which means i will have to get a new passport here or change of address should not matter for my EE .Kindly throw some light .
TIA

How have you been learning and how do you find it so far? Your input will be valuable.
I've used a variety of different methods. There is no special way for me. I just try to do many activities and try to look at the learning process from various angles. It is this mosaic pattern that also helped me to prepare for English exam and max out the points for it. However I've been learning as a foreign language and using English for almost 30 year as compared to only one year for French. So I'm waiting for the exam to see how it really worked out. I'll explain more about my preparation when I have these results.

One thing that I want to mention though is that after one year of dedicated self-studies it is possible to freely read all sorts of texts apart from the sophisticated literature. Also it is possible to watch without much strain french documentaries like "Enquête exclusive" or any other shows provided that the speakers articulate their pronunciation well. This alone paid off all my hard work because it opened new vast resources to explore. You can't believe how great is to watch about the topic that you're interested in yet in another language and understand it!

Interesting analysis, I agree with most of your points. However, you've missed three large demographic groups that are applying for Canadian immigration in droves, (like their lives depended on it).

- Persian Gulf based professionals. These people are usually in an age range of between late twenties to mid-forties, are highly educated (many with Western degrees and good, in-demand qualifications), had been paid well up until now, and thus have managed to have decent savings in the bank. These people usually come from Indian, Pakistani, Levant, Egyptian, Filipino or Sri Lankan backgrounds. Since the decades old financial party is over in the region (massive job losses due to a drop in oil prices, nationalization of jobs) and there's the recent unprecedented political uncertainty to deal with, so instead of going back to their homelands (which are now alien to them, having been expats for so long) they've decided to try their luck either in Canada or Australia (or both). I know many many people who belong in this group and have either already migrated to either Canada or Australia, or are currently in a mad rush to do so.

- Mainland China and Hong Kong based professionals. There's a large group of younger Chinese professionals that is well off, well educated, and seek what they think are greener pastures in Canada and Australia.

- Asian subcontinent based professionals. The brain drain from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to everywhere not only continues, but has accelerated significantly. Economic inequality and lack of opportunities for people that are highly educated and capable is the primary cause for this.

So there you have it... the honorable Mr. Trump is partly responsible for the mad rush to Canada, but it's really not the only reason... it's a combination of many many things that are making Canada appear like it's an island of prosperity and stability in a rapidly evolving world.

I hope for a massive drop in the CRS cutoff as well, but don't be surprised if in 2018 it doesn't drop by a whole lot from the current 440's.
Thank you for this, a very interesting post.

All your categories above would surely be based upon the same points criteria, as the examples I gave, the only possibility of truly high points, is if a vast number of your examples have masters degrees and job experience and pretty great English/French skills.

Even if I never do end up in Canada, I am definitely learning a lot from this experience, so, I guess every cloud has a silver lining..... but, I will be very intrigued to see what the half year 2018 review looks like this year and will definitely trawl through the numbers to see what I can learn.

Don't mean to be rude but all of a sudden Ray of Hope thread seems more like a PNP tracker thread. Everyday coming to the thread hoping for some good news or encouraging prediction and things like that but instead treated with everyones ONIP NOI celebrations and how to fill up post ITA application and all those. I feel there are already several thread specifically dealing with those queries, you just need to search for that. This particular thread should be for people who are desperately seeking some inspiration and guidance on how to improve their chances or who are looking for some helpful news to keep the Canadian dream alive.

I think little celebrations help raise the morale of the ones who are waiting. If no one posts good news about their NOIs/ ITAs this forum would become very boring. Looking at people receiving NOIs at 434 or 435 gives a ray of hope -at least to me - that even if CRS cutoff stays high, there is still a chance to make it through to the other side without having to learn French or drop out of work to complete masters.

OINP and IRCC have been a major mood killer this year, maybe things will improve.

hey guys, we are sitting at 437 CSR score now. OINP gonna expire in 2 weeks time. I guess we can wait for one more round of draw, which I doubt it can go below 440.. But after that, question comes. Should we wait for ITA or accept OINP invitation?
I would accept it if I were you.

Considering the current trend the CRS cutoff is moving down marginally, meaning by just 2 points and the latest cutoff did not even move, which means stayed at 442 for 4 weeks until the next draw.

You may also be aware about the IRCCs unpredictability lately so not to be negative but if the competition intensifies from this point the score may even go northwards.

So just for an additional $1500 and a commitment to stay in ONTARIO for couple of years is definitely a good option considering there are thousands of applicants who are waiting with a batted breath to receive an ITA or ONIP.

Remember, opportunity doesn't knock the doors twice.

Good luck.
