Hey everyone! Saw in the spreadsheet that an October applicant got DM and PPR a couple of days ago! That’s great! Fingers crossed for the rest of us :)

Hello Everyone,

I am posting here hoping to find a suggestion on how to proceed with spousal sponsorship in my situation.

So I got my COPR Visa valid till 17th June 2018 and I will mostly travel in April to finish my landing formalities.

My boyfriend and I are planning to get married sometime in the next couple of months and I want to include him in my application.

How soon can I include him in my application once we are married? Should I be having a job for sure to include him in my application? Or is it enough to show the proof of funds like we do for the single applicant? How much should we be showing as proof of funds? Please mention the set of documents I will need to include him. Also please guide regarding getting him a work permit through the same application.

Considering the fact that he is waiting for divorce papers from the court from his previous marriage, how soon can we marry so that the visa officer does not think it is a marriage out of convenience and what proofs do we need to show him to convince regarding the same?

Please suggest if there is anything else that we must consider.

Hoping someone would help with the info.

Thanks and Regards,
SD
Usually you don't need to make the same post in multiple threads, just have patience and someone will answer if they can.

Yes but not as much as you, we sent pictures, certificates, Wechat records, emails. No financial stuff, we were both divorced recently and marrried a couple of months before applying and had been living togeather for over a year- no problems being elegible

Hey fellow October applicants, have any of you ordered GCMS notes out of curiosity? Or is it too soon for that?!

Hi @ehab2222 - I wonder why Bucharest, Ankara and Cairo all do the BCG PPR and DM all in one go! I wish there would be more frequent updates. The silence is the worst :)[/QUOT

We’re thinking of ordering them when we get to the 3 month mark of BGC being processed...that’s about mid-March. I’ve read that unless you’re stuck at BGC it’s not too much use ordering them, also because you want to be at the VO long enough to see some movement in them. For some people they reveal really good details for others nothing so...we’ll see I guess

I hope everyone gets there PPR soon! I wasn't expecting it at all because the GC Key said and still says "we are processing your application", "we are determining your eligibility, "we are processing your background check ", etc. My ECAS was the only thing that changed. Here's my timeline to give some hope!

App Received: 10/02/2017
AOR1: 11/09/2017
SA: 11/28/2017
A0R2: 11/28/2017
We started processing background check: 01/19/2018
Decision Made: 02/19/2018
PPR: 02/19/2018
PP Sent: 02/21/2018

Congrats! Had my background check change earlier this week, also being processed in Mississauga. Hopeful to get a decision by Easter!
