They updated the checklist and guides and gave grace period until March 15. Funny thing, even though they mentioned that no form has been updated, the IMM 5406 (additional family information) did infact update as I mentioned. However, I do not see any thing 'new' on it other than they just re-arranged the columns and now ask for emails addresses of all family members.

I'm going to courier tomorrow keeping the existing IMM 5406. The updated one released today (Feb 14) so hopefully there is grace period.

hi, be honest about the mistake. tell them it did not happen and due to human error it was filled incorrectly. she can maybe get some signed letters from relatives or family members saying that this did not happen etc.

the only thing your friend can do is be honest about the mistake.

the lawyer will tell you the same as everyone else. in my opinion its no point wasting money on a lawyer. PFL is just that they are giving her a chance to correct the mistake.

My wife is the same situation in Pakistan right now.

Did you try to contact/ go in person to Islamabad embassy (since we are citizens should be able to visit our country's embassy consulate) and find out why our interviews are not getting scheduled. I also have a son (who go his citizenship) and am now thinking of quitting my job and return to Pakistan (or at least for the time when my wife gets the PR). I saw the CIC minister Mr. Hussain making speech online today saying all the changes he has made, but we dont see any on our end, I am thinking of writing him an official letter signed by MP.

Who else is waiting more than 12 months want to include into this letter ?

yes ur right! what changes have been made for existing applicants to speed up their process? Applicants are waiting from 2016 and onward. These changes will help new applicants of 2018 but for God's sake make some changes for existing applicants to do faster reunification with their spouses. Nothing good news for us

Did you try to contact/ go in person to Islamabad embassy (since we are citizens should be able to visit our country's embassy consulate) and find out why our interviews are not getting scheduled. I also have a son (who go his citizenship) and am now thinking of quitting my job and return to Pakistan (or at least for the time when my wife gets the PR). I saw his speech too even commented but no use, i am not sure what to do ... even if i go to Islamabad embassy would it be fruitful? They will simply say that case is with LVO, tried contacting LVO no reply.. contacted MP he said he would need my signature on consent and he can’t expedite the process he can just get update and normally interview cases takes 1.5 years so now im not sure what else to do ? This is so frustrating... please let me know what can be done and do include me in your letter if possible

Don't quit your job, if u move to Pak lvo will ask for sponsors intent yo return to Canada and also its jot easy to get job. Visit Pak in ur vacation.

they also want schA and police certificate with the application now .. so make sure you have this as well .. that was announced yesterday ..
