Tax requirements for income earned in Australia

Hi guys

Once I am granted residency in Canada, I believe I will have to file for income tax in both countries?

And if I pay tax on income for Australia, I will get tax credits from Canada, or vise versa.

I.E you dont have to pay tax twice?

yes i mean for Canada, Well i am interested in the Australia side as well, but dont imagine any of you guys here would have knowledge of the Aust tax system

Yes due to the tax treaty between Australia and Canada, you won't have to pay Canadian tax on income earned in Australia.
