I did the whole entry thing and got my confirmation of PR on Nov 7th. No PR card yet. I'm supposed to travel to the US on the 1st and return on the 7th. Any ideas on how I should proceed?
If you dont have your PR card by the time you travel, you can fly to US and take a train or bus back to Canada.

The one which you sent for Ppr. No picture would be clicked at airport or port of entry.
For PR card do they use the photo on the CIC copy of CoPR? The photo on back side of which my details are written is not on the CIC copy but was hanging loose in the envelope. Is it supposed to be stuck on the client copy?

Yes the loose pic will have your details and the other would be affixed on COPR. They will use the COPR-CIC Copy for your PR card.

Any idea if we can ask them to replace that CIC copy photo and provide them with another copy of same photo at landing? My CoPR CIC copy photo has some ink marks on it (from the backside of the other photo) and I am afraid they might ask me to submit new photos. I am doing soft landing, so can't send them new ones.

Yes, it seems the Pro Passport Photo that I used gives refunds or new photos in case of rejection, I'll see if I still have the receipt.

If anyone took their photos in Toronto and had their PR card approved, please share where you took your photos.
If not I'll try using Costco or Staples, they claim to take PR card photos too.

Thank you.
hey even i took my photos there first time it was rejected. but 2nd time i took it from there again and it was accepted

My PD card application was approved on 12th Jan but I have not received PR card yet. They say it was sent to production on 12th Jan. Should I be worried?

Hi All

If i complete a short landing say for a week and return to India, can i provide an address of a friend to IRCC who can collect my PR card and courier it to my address in India ? I have read elsewhere on this forum that RFID chips in PR cards prevent them from crossing border and its illegal for someone to courier it outside Canada ? Not sure if anybody has faced any issues in receiving the cards outside Canada.

Wanted to re-confirm if this is indeed true

Yes, the date you landed is correct. Also see @Brenna post below and try different combinations. Start with Passport
Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately I have tried EVERY possible combination of entry with absolutely no success, it really is quite ridiculous.

I have submitted a CSE and if I do not hear back from that I will try to call them.

Thanks again for your help!

One of my friends managed to courier his and his wife's card to his residence country. I've also heard such a story of seize of Card. But most people managed to get their PR cards by courier without any issues as per the posts in this and other forums. The story I saw was for sending the PR card to US. There may be issues when you courier PR cards to US. (I am just guessing. I am not sure about this)

Its a personal call to take the risk.
