Hey guys! I know that there are calculators and a lot of information about it, but I want to be sure of something.

I became PR 13 of January. I want to fly to Europe, and I might stay til 8th of August. As far as I know, to hold PR I have to be in Canada for at least 181 days. Which day in February will be mine first possible day to fly out? I don't know how to count it, which days is count as a day IN Canada (fly in-out) for a (new,if its matter) resident.
Thanks for help

What you know is completely wrong. You can leave Canada an hour after being a PR. You only need to live in Canada for 2 years out of 5 years (rolling) after you became a PR to meet the residency obligation. Good Luck!

No, your understanding is wrong.

You need to be physically in Canada at least 730 days in a rolling 5 year period to maintain PR status.

Really? So I can fly back even in 2019 ???
Again, you are free to travel and come back at any time you desire as long as you will be in Canada for a total of 2 years within a 5 year period. So, if you landed and became a PR on say 1/1/2018, you will need to live in Canada for 730 days in 5 years after that date (i.e., 1/1/2018 to 31/12/2022) to meet the residency obligation. That means that you will be fine to come back in 2019 as you will still have enough time to accumulate 730 days. Good Luck!
