It all started when i was in high school, this obsession of coming to Canada ‘cause end of the day i am Punjabi and its either Punjab or Canada, so i chose Canada.
After studying for 2 years and working for 2.5 years finally on Dec. 19/2017 i got my PPR. I sent the passport on 20 and got it back on Jan. 15/2018.
Talking about Landing, I chose Fort Erie- Peace Bridge because its situated just on east and around 30 km from Niagra Falls so it was not busy at all. It was Tuesday. Just a quick fact, you can do landing only on TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY FROM 8am to MIDNIGHT.
So i crossed the Canadian side and went all the way to US border gates. Please don’t expect US border officers to be friendly, they are very rude. Anyways, he pointed me towards other officer, he told me to park my car and go inside door #2.
Two other guys were sitting there already. I sat there for about 10 minuets. Then the officers told us to go outside, start the cars and follow him. We did the same andhe handed me the passport and 1 A4 paper, just don’t worry about the paper its just a formality. Then we drove back to Canadian borders.
The Canadian border officer was super nice. He asked for the passport. I gave him, he asked if i have COPR. I said yes. Then he told me to go to left hand side offices.
I went inside, as i was walking in an officer called me amd asked just for Passport and COPR thats it none other doc; and told me to wait.
After 10 min. he called me and had me sign COPr and officially welcomed me to Canada. He told me the Pr Card would come by mail in 6 weeks. So thats it, only took me 20 minutes on both sides. I went around 9:00pm.

I was very happy, i drove back to my home paid $4.75 of toll on Canadian toll while coming on QEW.

Thank you for reading guys. And thanks for all the help i got from this forum.
Good luck everyone.

Congrats on your landing. Do you have to have a US Visa to do the landing?

I must be lucky because all the US border officers I've encountered, even the ones at Peace Bridge, have been nothing but friendly and polite to me.

Even when I mentioned that I was crossing to make my landing with my US visa, the officer said I could flagpole, and she explicitly used that word.

did my landing at peace bridge today and overall process to only 20 mins to cross the border , get flagpoled and being a permanent resident in canada.
The officers at US border were little rude but on Canadian side were more friendly. I was only one at 9 am in the Canadian border for landing, no crowd at all.
