Hello guys after a long gap i am back to forum to share the news that I am still trying to let it sink to my system. After 5 attempts in IELTS via British Council, I took the test again on Dec 2 through IDP for the first time. My initial score was L 8.5, R 7, W 6.5 and S 7.5. I requested for EOR and to my surprise I got the call from IDP in only 3 weeks this morning. My Writing score has been revised from 6.5 to 7. Got the TRF too. It's been hell of a journey for IELTS and I couldn't be more happier that its over now. My new CRS is 449; got to update the score in my EE profile. Also withdrew my OINP application which was still submitted after November 15 and hopefully I will get the refund as well. In fact, my Oct 28 result of EOR via British Council is still due in which I scored L 8.5, R 8.5, W 6.5 and S 7.0. Hopefully that too will be revised and I would get the refund.
And here you are with the good news...soooo happy for you, trust me it feels like I have achieved the score :)
So finally you made it through...I must say hard work pays off and you acutally did it :)
Where have you been? I asked abt you a few times but no one knew...but Iam glad your back....

Hi everyone,
My previous employer agrees to give the reference letter but they won't give it as "who so ever it may concern" they need a particular reference to be given in the To section .can I give it as Visa authority of Canada ?? Any guidance in this would be very helpful

hello @iamxty

if you have to select any date for the cutoff to reach 435 then what will be the number? It has been quite a let down in terms of getting new hope considering a new year for which many have been waiting for a long time but do you think that cic can keep restricting itas like this? this is really pathetic for people waiting above 400 for such a long time :(
It’s too early to predict the trend. But whoever says the cut-off will never dip to 413 this year, get lost! :p

Last year, I was wishing every week the cut-off to touch my magic CRS 408. It was so close when it hit 413 :D

Canada says I am too old (not that old yet) even with a CLB 9 :). But OINP gave me that chance to have my ticket to Canada, so I grabbed it. And I never regretted it, not once.

The key here is to never lose hope. Cut-off will come down sooner than we know it. As I said before, CIC is like a woman, very unpredictable ;):)

Hi!! I'm very excited to see what's going to happen next. My hopes are all high!! But I have a concern.
I'm at 424 and I will be traveling to Germany in a scholarship on March 5 for three months...till June 2. If I get an ITA and I'm out my country at that time, will I be able to take the medical exams in Germany? I have almost all my docs ready, I just have to take the medicals, the criminal records and the bank account statement. I know I'll have 90 days to send all documents but that's exactly the time I'll be overseas.
I know I have very high hope but I think it can happen that I get my ITA soon.
What do you think?
Thanks!!! :)

Yes, you can have your medical exam in any country, provided that you go to CIC’s panel physician or clinic. My husband resides in India but he took his medical exam in SG. This is not just our experience, but I’ve also confirmed it with IRCC before I booked my spouse’s medical appointment.

Hmmmmmm pessimism.

Today I decided to go back the Ray of Hope timeline just to see what time of the day draws usually take place. Then I stumbled upon Ray of Hope 67th Draw of July 12th 2017. The draw that day happened 19.05UTC.

But I have to say the discussion before the draw was a huge comic relief, so if you want to laugh follow this link and read till page 271 when the draw happened. You will laugh and laugh I promise.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ray-of-hope-67th-draw.503277/page-240

Enjoy.
