Guys, I called CIC agent just right now
She said my spouse application got selected in pilot program and processing in Canada for initial stage, we submitted our application in Sep and waiting for AOR2.

Does it make sense ? My spouse is out side Canada and I am on PR, is it really in pilot program ?
Should I call again after few days and confirm once again with another CIC agent ?

There is any benefits of this program or its just to lower the backlogs in local visa offices ?
Anyone in the same situation ?

that could be good news- you might receive PPR faster than the rest of Sep applicants!

Just got a random email after 3 months.
Honestly, NDVO communicating with you guys with an email is so much better than what they did to us. They kept us in loop, had some applications been completed in 5-6 months, others waited 3 months after BCG to get a PPR! We did not know what was going on with our applications! Had they told us this early on like they did with you guys, we would have been less restless. At least you are given a time frame which is re-assuring! This is a good thing! Also, this looks reasonable for July applicants, because they have just begun giving *some* PPR to April applicants. Therefore, it makes sense that they will communicate with you in May or June because if you go according to the time frame, currently they are clearing backlog and dealing with *some* April applicants (April applicants- JAN/FEB; May- MARCH/APRIL; June- APRIL/MAY; July-MAY/JUNE)

Did you know anyone got something like this ?
@nbhagat from our month (MAY) received PPR faster than all of us (we still don't have BCG in process)- he said his GCMS notes indicated a pilot program of some sorts.

I applied for my husband back in April 2017. I have a quick question guys. 10 years ago when my husband was under age of 16, his sister from BC applied as family case including my mother-in-law and father-in-law. My husband was dependent child for that case. Later on that year My sister-in-law’s husband passed away and after she didn’t have enough income to continue with the family case application. Immigration also sent her letter saying that they need income or tax to filed to continue the application. But as there was not enough income from her, she never paid the rest of the income. The application was withdrawal. Now I applied for my husband as spouse case like after 10 years. I was wondering if that family case will put any effect on my spouse application. Any of you have any idea, Please advise me. Thank you in the advance.

You should be lucky. Because processing in Mississauga is faster than any Visa Office outside of Canada. They usually choose applicants from "Visa exempt" countries. Or now they might have expanded to India as well. Is your spouse currently living in USA or any other visa exempt country?

I am July 2017 applicant... Got following heart breaking reply after two months of inquiry email I sent-

Thank you for choosing Canada! We know this is a very exciting time in planning an important change in your life.

We have received your application for permanent residence. We expect to begin working on your application within the next two months. We will need time to review and assess your file. We should be ready to communicate with you again by May or June 2018. We understand that the waiting period can be difficult but please rest assured that we have not forgotten about you.

We appreciate the time you have taken to prepare your application.

They are just bunch of careless people directly saying that they will take full 12 months to process application..

I am wondering if I should apply for tourist visa or not....
They are useless.....

No need of any original certificates other than a letter from bank or some other documents to prove that you are staying together(if needed).Only true copies are required to file the application. As far as the birth certificate (if not available)is concerned you (applicable to Indians) may produce Secondary School leaving certificate instead.Make sure DOB is same in all documents.Once you send it is almost impossible to correct it.If they request photos of marriage and related events ,then it is better to send photos.(it is in the check list)
Thanks a lot for the clarification!!!
