Good morning. So my application was Delivered Nov 2 and didn’t get AOR. So I called CIC this morning and the agent said noting was on the system and said I should give her my tracking number and also my citizenship receipt payment number that she is going to email the office. Got my AOR without 15 mins of getting of phone with her. So my question when you get AOR does that mean the citizenship application is okay?

Other seniors can comment more accurately. Based on my reading on the forum, AOR means they have received your application, done a overview of all the documents submitted, checked for signatures on the form and physical presence calculator, made sure your pictures are attached and the pictures are stamped on the back etc. Next stage is IP when the app is transfered to the local office for processing and an officier looks at the documents more thoroughly and does background checks i guess!

Good morning,
Can someone tell me if it's mandatory to inform IRCC of a trip as I'll be going for 1 week down south in a couple days.
Note: I just received my AOR on Dec 29 so I'm expecting the "In-Procces " sometime in February ...

I sent the application on Nov 13, received on Nov 15 and signed by Mike. Still no AOR. I called CIC and they said they are working on applications received on Nov 27 already. They said the official process is that they have to give the processing center 6 weeks from the date application is received (in my case Nov 15) and what application date they are processing. They told me only when they start processing December 27th onwards, they will be able to officially send them the letter and ask the status of my application. She said these things can happen. She said there are 2 reasons: 1) application was either lost in their mailroom or 2) they are returning the application for being incomplete. Since in my case, I know for sure the application is complete, it might be the fact that my application is still somewhere in the mailroom. Is there anyone else whos application was received before Nov 27 and they didn't receive AOR yet?

Please when you visit the 2017 Citizenship Applicants google sheet try to leave the page when you are done browsing the file, and give chance for others to browse it too, this is not Facebook page to leave it open 24 hours a day. Every time I visit the page I face problem of slow speed, and most of time is not opening!

So if they are working on applications received 27th Nov, so mine AOR will be this week, since mine was received 30th Nov. I should be alert this week. We' ll see now.
