When IRCC conducts background checks and comes up with any trace that the applicant or the members on the application has been in the military, the military history is asked. Simply reply back by stating that your spouse was exempt from the military duty and provide the details of what he was doing from age 18 to now. No need for proof.

There is no stage a IP2, or NA etc. This is based on speculation where some pseudo intellectuals based on the changes in the MyCIC status have started predicting what is happening in the application, which is absolutely nonsense. As per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), the law under which all immigration application are processed, provides the following stages:

R10 or completeness check
Medicals
Criminality
Eligibility
Security

To read more on each stage see
https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

May applicants never see many status updates and straight get the Passport request, which does not mean that their security was never done. The only way to know at what stage the application is at is GCMS notes, or you can simply wait it out.

All application are different and you cannot compare one with the other. There are many factors which go in processing an application. Also, 80% of the applications are processed within 6 months or less. The 6 month processing time starts from the day when the R10 is passed.

During my processing, I too receive ADR for military record, when I had never served in the military. Just sent the reply and it was all fine. I don't see anything that you have to worry about.

Definityly right !! I confirmed with an agent that my eligibility is definitly passed since Dec13th and my security check started on Dec 17th from agent also. I saw that people from same nationality processed from LVO- Paris got their security clearence in 3days my case is processed at CPC-O and believe when i read the email saying that they need additional verifications and they will be out of their processing time. Dont know why my mind went directly to SS mood :)

I already replied explaining for the military duty exemption but unfortunatly they run security check before checking the document recieved that's bad ://

Now my ADR status shows : we need additionnal documents and i got no request might be a technical glitch or its due to gcms ....

dear @legalfalcon

1. My work experience is from a very small firm where I have only 3-4 colleagues and we were paid in cash, even though they had given me a salary letter mentioning that I was getting this much cash during this time, I don't have any much proof besides that. I am very much worried that will it cause a problem? will they be considering this as misrepresentation?

2. can u please provide the steps in which local VO gets in the picture and how do they check? any cases available that can illustrate what and how VO- new Delhi gonna see it? how many people are invited for interview and on what basis?

3. does inadmissibilty of one person effects its siblings PR grant decision?

3. anything you could suggest more?

Thank you so much legalfalcon. I have understood about s15 and s16 but my question is will my security check conclude(will cic make a decision after investigating ) even though the case against my spouse's employer is still on going in the Indian court? or will cic wait for the case to end and then decide about my pr application? cases in Indian courts go on forever so I'm worried.
there are no words such as 'security screening ' in my gcms notes. only security[/QUOTE]

You are just speculating that IRCC is looking into your spouse's employer, which is a very remote possibility. Bankruptcy is a regular business process, and has nothing to do with security.

Hi @legalfalcon,

I have a fixed deposit in one Bank (Bank A). If I transfer it to another bank (Bank B) to a Fixed Deposit, will the following be sufficient to prove the 6 months balance maintenance;

1. Color copies of FD certificates issued by Bank A (from July'17).
2. If the funds have been credit to a savings account in Bank A and then a draft is issued, color copies of the statement along with color copy of the Bank Draft to Bank B.
3. Color copy of the FD certificate from Bank B.
4. Explain in LOE.
YEs, the above will work.

Hello @legalfalcon My wife and I are applying for PR, my wife is the primary applicant and i am the dependent. I had traveled to Canada on business visa a few years back and the there is a 8 digit number on my visa (Example: C.REC - FPA 9XXXXXXX). Is this a UCI number? Should i mention this in my application?
No, this is not the UCI number. If you have ever applied for a visa, you will have a UCI number. If you do not remember it or don't have any documentation for it, no need to worry, just submit your application and the old number will be assigned when your info is entered in the system.

To know what UCI is see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/uci-application-number-use-requesting-gcms-notes/

Thank you legalfalcon for your response, I created my EE profile, with my existing scores, however now I am seeing a huge difference in scores in profile vs. when I calculated in CRS tool.

In CRS tool it showed me around 440, whereas when I entered same info in my profile, it is coming up to only 399. Can you please advise?

Below are my details: (from CRS Tool)

Core/Human capital factors
  • Age = 110
  • Level of education = 98
  • Study in Canada = 15
  • Official Languages = 110
    • First Official Language = 110
    • Second Official Language = 0
  • Canadian work experience = 40
Subtotal - Core/Human capital factors = 358

Spouse factors
  • Level of education = 0
  • First Official Languages = 0
  • Canadian work experience = 0
Subtotal - Spouse factors = 0

Skill transferability factors
Education

It is difficult to figure out based on what you have provided. I will need your personal details. Alternatively, you can check and compare with this :

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html

Calculate it manually and see where is the difference.

Proof of salary is not required when you file the EE. Payslips are only required for PNP. IRCC will only investigate your employment if they find anything fishy. Usually they will start with the online search of your company, then maybe call the employer and you to verify. If they ask for proof of salary, you can show bank deposits, IT returns even if you were paid in cash.

1. The Work Permit or the SOWP gives you the duration within which you can legally work in Canada. You can enter Canada anytime, but the only during the validity can you work.
OK, so in my case, TRV expiry is 09-January-2019, let say, I land canada on 15-Feb-2018 and get WP at border control, dated 15-Feb-2018, with expiry 15-Feb-2019, instead TRV expires prior to WP???? I mean expiry of WP would be different from expiry of TRV ???
2. The SOWP is dependent on your WP, so either you can renew both together and inform that the WP has also been filed for renewal, but SOWP will be contingent of the renewal of WP, or you can renew the WP and then the SOWP
