This is a brief shoutout to all Ray of Hopers in the Toronto area.

I'm planning on organizing a meet-up at the food court at Simcoe Place - 300 Front St. I'm thinking of a weekday at 7 or 8 in the evening. There's a Tim Hortons, as well as many other food places.

If you are interested, can you provide feedback on a preferred day of week or time?

GOSH!! Can't wait to attend such meet up!!!! this is such a nice gesture. A rough calculation assuming 2750 ITAs would be issued in the next draw.
1. back to back draw - 17th Jan - CRS cut off would be in the higher 430s (435-438 range), definitely below 440
2. Biweekly draw - 24th Jan - CRS cut off around 441

Hi All,

Have been a quiet member of the ROH threads since October. Many thanks to @AlliBatista and @abhishek_89 for your insights, predictions and just the optimism you guys give us.

My score is 435, and only recently i found that IQAS recognises SCDL degrees. I had done my PGDHRM from SCDL and if I get that assessed, my EE profile score would go up to 469. Planning to have my ECA redone by IQAS to improve my score. Am the primary applicant for our EE profile.

Have few questions about the ECA and how to update it:

1.) Me and my husband had our WES ECAs done in 2015. However am planning to get it done with IQAS now, should my husband also have his ECA done again with IQAS?

2.) Our ECA expirese this year, should we have a valid ECA at the time of ITA and until we complete the entire PR process. If so, can my husband have his ECA re-issued my WES itself?

3.) Is it alright if my ECA is from IQAS and husband's ECA is from WES?

Finally, when I rechecked my submitted EE profile, I didnt find any space in the educational section to enter the ECA report reference number. However I believe we enter it while we create our profile. How can I update this ECA reference number after I get my IQAS report...? Where do i need to do this update?

Please help. And apologies for the lengthy confusing questions.

The ECA is valid for 5 years..why yours which was done in 2015 expiring this year? Am I missing something?

If CIC never increases the number of ITAs (currently @ 2750) issued OR they never have less than 2 week gap draws, then the answer is never as we have seen the pool easily gets filled with those @ CRS 430+ in 2 weeks (observed from Aug onwards).
If they increase the number of ITAs issued OR they have 1 week gap draws, then the answer is Yes possible and when would be dependant on when they start doing that.

Awww, this is heartbreaking somehow.

The EE target for 2018-2020 is 242100 or atleast that's what I read,
which is divided into 3 years:

2018 - 74900
2019 - 81400
2020 - 85800

Compared to 2017 target, which was 71700, but the intake was obviously over the target 2017 (85000 approx.)
Hopefully they'll try to go over the target for 2018 too.

Even if they have to achieve 74900 for 2018, we'll be seeing a few back to back, at least 4-5 months, considering the no. of ITAs to be 2750 (constant).

But if the numbers are carried forward from the extra ITAs in 2017, then we'll only see biweekly draws for 2018, which is a huge let down.

Would you agree to that? or do you have something else in mind?

I have a question and be grateful if you experts give me a hand.

To the best of my knowledge, registering for Job Bank is not mandatory in express entry profile. What about PNP under express entry stream? In that case do we need to register for Job Bank? Do we have to have Job Seeker Validation Code for receiving "notification of interest", e.g. from Ontario?

Do you guys know any TEF online simulations that calculate the score at the end? Of course, only for compréhension orale and compréhension écrite (similar to listening and reading from IELTS).
