Might help to compare to last year's rounds. If the trend is the same, the points should start decreasing from the next draw. Of course it also depends on the number of applicants, which I'm expecting is bigger than before.

But we can clearly see no of ITAs issued is a big problem. Unless it starts to increase soon don’t expect cut off to decrease by much

Congrats to all of you. The rest, dont loose hope!

If CIC invites 2750 ITAs and always conduct draws with 2-week gap, the CRS cut off can come down to 435. If you observe last year draws from Aug to Oct, the mid 430s was the normal cut off with 2750 and 2-week gap draws.

3-week gap draws on Dec 6th and Jan 10th have spoiled the game :(

1 week gap draws can easily bring the score down to the mid 430's again.

Hi @abhishek_89

Thanks for your insights, considering the usual situation, how many applicants on an average do you think enter into the pool everyday with CRS score above 435?

Everyone was waiting to see the first draw of 2018, but I guess it was not a happy start for people below 440 like us :(

Any approximate caluculations on what could be the CRS if next draw is on 24Jan?

:)

If next draw is on Jan 24 with 2750 ITAs, CRS cut off should be around the 440 mark.

Is it possible that more candidates will enter inside the pool for next draw? And draw goes above 446. Since I don’t see a significant increase in number of candidates entering this draw due to holidays and ielts.

That's true, the starting no of ITAs issue is lower, but if keeps increasing like last year then it should be a good sign for things to come. We will find out on the coming draw at any rate.

It would be anywhere around 160-200 per day average for CRS 435 or more (this includes those who enter newly or those who improve their CRS score).
Those who were expecting another 450+ score should feel happy! But the 2750 ITA count is a disappointing start for 2018!

If they stick to 2750 ITAs and have the next draw on or before Jan 24th, I see no chance for the CRS cut off to go above 446.
There is always an intake to the pool it just varies depending on multiple factors (IELTS results, ECA outcomes, etc).

If they continue with 2750 ITAs and draws with 2 or 3 week gaps, then its very tough for the CRS cut off to go below 430.
A few 1-week gap draws can help your cause.
what's your guess about 440?

so since how are things looks for people at 444 for remainder of this month?

today's draw was at 446. Do you think next few draws are going to have a higher CRS or is it going to continue to decrease or what?

With 2750 ITAs being issued in each draw, you should just hope and pray that the next draw happens on or before Jan 24th.
Hope you get an ITA soon! All the best!
