No problem. I've seen even kids younger than yours travel on international flights enroute to Canada and elsewhere.

Do you have full legal custody of your child? If not, your ex will need to provide their consent to have your child move with you to Canada.

I don't have sole custody but since she is a girl and I am her mother ,will that be an issue?

Yes, it is still an issue regardless of gender. You need either permission from the father or full legal custody awarded by the courts. You will not be able to bring your child with you otherwise.

No application for Canadian immigration will be approved without showing full legal custody awarded by the courts, or the fathers written/signed permission that he's allowing your daughter to move. I don't think you're even allowed to move states in the US without this.

*snip* I don't think you're even allowed to move states in the US without this.

You can, however, you could be charged with kidnapping (federal offense to move child across state lines) if you didn't at a minimum advise the other parent of your intentions to move across state lines. This, of course, applies only if you have physical residence of the child.
