Applying for permanent residence after 2 years of marriage

Hello. Im in the process of filling my application and the checklist states not to include certain documents with the application if married for more than 2 years. I got married

Are you referring to 7. PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP TO SPONSOR?

If you answered Yes to ALL of the following:
a) Are you and your spouse currently living together?
b) Do you and your spouse have at least one child together?
c) Is this a first marriage for both you and your sponsor?
d) Have you and your sponsor been married for a minimum of two years as of the date of application?

then you don't need to supply additional proof of relationship right now.
If you said no to ANY of the 4, then you have to provide what is asked for in part e

e) If you did not answer yes to all four (4) of the above questions, also provide:

I dont remember seeing these questions when i applied for PR, are these with the new application? We werent married for 2 years so that is why i dont remember them asking us that. Is that a new requirement?

Ah and i applied Dec 2016 - they were accepting old applications until end of January 2017 ;-)

Took 10 mths for being approved.

Lol yup, I remember all too well. I applied for the first time in Jan and used the old app, but my app got returned Feb 1 and I had to redo the whole dang thing!

It's not a requirement, just if you answer yes to all 4 questions you don't have to provide other evidence, I guess they can fast track these applications or at least less scrutiny for the genuineness of the relationship (though I'm not sure what it being the first marriage for both parties proves!). For my wife we answered yes to 3 of them bar the one about having a child together so had to provide more evidence, though hoping answer yes to 3 of them will speed things up a bit in the deciding the genuineness part.

Ya I figured it wasnt a requirement.
Its odd because we were just one yr married and we got approved but i know couples u were 5 years married and they got denied.

They ask about first marriage because you are required to send in copies of divorce documents for any previous marriages.
