Possible reason for delay?

Hi Guys,

I had applied for student visa on 7th Nov (online). I have about 5 years of gap between my last attended education at a college (b.tech) from India and the current education that I want to pursue from McGill (non spp pgdp). I was working for all these 5 years so its not like I was sitting idle, I have no other reason to understand why my visa is getting delayed.

I got a 7.5 on ILETS.

Is there some way to email or call cic reagrding status, or we just have to rely on the online update in our accounts ?

the current status on my application is "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements"

I am worried because for a lot of people (people who applied after me, or around the same time I did) the medical status atleast changed from "You do not need medical test" to "You have passed Medical test", but I am still waiting :(
