To be honest, that's weird. I would say Yes, you are supposed to get AOR at the same time.
But once again, nobody really knows how the officers work. It's miracle ;-p
My suggestion would be to give it a couple of days and call if nothing is received.

hi guys!!!!! my application delivered 19 oct 2017......no Aor yet......just realized i missed to write down my SIN number.......so is it a sure return????
yes your application will be returned. now only tricky thing is when. if your lucky, your application will be returned before being sent to processing. if it gets sent to processing then the delay will be longer and you wont get a full refund.

In the past, missing SIN applications were returned before AOR.

hi
It's been a week since I received my AOR, but my husband hasn't received it yet, his ecas says: Application received October 19TH (same date as mine), buth nothing of AOR, any suggestion of what we should do?

Thank you
IIRC, @pepe84 had the same situation. Pepe, did you ever receive the second email for your spouse ?

Hi guys,

I’m just giving you a heads up about using the webform. I made a mistake in my application and ticked no for the 183 days outside Canada question (I lived in my home country prior to moving here as PR) hence I didn’t provide a PCC.

Now I used the webform to let them know that I made that mistake and told them I’ll be providing the PCC when needed.

I already got my AOR and my status in ECAS is in process as of Nov 14.

We have a community mailbox and I only check my mail like once a week or every two weeks. And guess what? I got a letter pertaining to my webform update. They’re asking for an updated Physical Presence Calculator to confirm all absence which is odd since my calculator is correct.

hey

sorry I dont think I follow. so do you recommend not using webform to make updates?

Never! and I don't think I will receive it. eCAS says it was sent on the same day I got my AoR. I think they are now sending AoR to PR-based principal applicants. My guess!

Did you click on the underlined status "Application received"? For my spouse it says the date it was received and that the AoR was sent. You should basically see two lines after clicking on the underlined status. If you don't see two lines, send a case specific inquiry via the webform.

Makes sense, if you told them you didn't live outside Canada and now you tell them you did live outside Canada they want you to update the physical presence calculator to make sure those days you lived outside Canada do, or do not count towards physical presence requirement.

hey Pepe,

I checked no to unemployed box but I was unemployed for 2 months and mentioned that in the chart below. Q 11.

do you think thats major issue?
I think that since I mentioned the 2 months in the chart I should be fine no?

I’m saying if you use the webform check your mail regularly as well. There’s nothing in ECAS that says they have sent something in the mail. It still shows as IN PROCESS Nov 14 in mine so I was surprised I received a letter dated Nov 21 from them.

I think I get it now where I made a mistake in my calculator. I didn’t include my days in my home country while waiting for my PR application. I had never been to Canada prior to that so I assumed to start listing absences from the day I landed.
