Dear concern. Back in 2005 i left USA voluntarily (i was granted by the judge that i would leave by my own) after i got caught working without a work permit (few weeks). Although i was taken to local immigration detention center there is no arrest record of me at my recently done FBI report. Can i apply for the study permit?

Although i was taken to local immigration detention center there is no arrest record of me at my recently done FBI report. Can i apply for the study permit?

1. You can apply but you have to list your removal from the US. Yes IRCC can access US immigration records.
2. With the overstay, removal and unauthorized work, I would think that you are probably not going to get a Study permit for Canada. Read Q2 of background on application form.

I did not overstay , I was always in student status. I was granted till December to voluntarily leave USA. Unauthorised work yes that I am guilty of .thanks anyway

You should give it a try by strongly pleading your case in SOP and by proving strong Home ties.
