Hi Guys,

I plan on submitting the express entry application myself, and am a little confused on how to go about filling my work history section. Can you experts please guide me.

I have been working for the same company from the start of my career and have held three positions up till now. Following are the details:

Job Title: Assistant Business Analyst
From: July, 2014 To: July, 2015

Job Title: Business Analyst
From: July, 2015 To: February, 2017

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
From: February, 2017 To: Present

Should I make only one entry in the work experience section from 2014 to present as I have worked for the same company? if yes, then what should I enter in the job title field?

Or should I enter experience for each position separately? in which case I am concerned that the portal will ask me for 3 experience letters while submitting eAPR, whereas I will get a single reference letter from my company.

Anyone help would be appreciated!!

LOL. I am PR already. What about you?
I’m sorry you’re emotionally challenged and your social intelligence is not high. Let me just paint you a picture, this sentence about you having a PR, writing it on this thread it’s like coming uninvited to a college in auditorium full of students who are about to graduate that they are losers because you have a job and they still don’t! Nobody is interested.

The junior / /senior etc are just internal designations ...if ur responsibilities were falling under business analyst under all 3 designations (match with cic list of responsibilities in the noc list ),then you may select business analyst as ur designation and back it with an experience letter...

even though titled as a asst. ba,if you were doing a b a job then do as above...
Write a letter of explanation stating that despite havin 3 diff titles, you were doing the role of a ba
—-
Alternatively you could put 3 diff work exp and attach the same work exp letter and write an LoE stating that your company issued one single consolidated work exp letter and hence you’ve updated the same against each of ur work exp...( I did so & finally got my visa without any complications )

@sundar17feb99 , @Samroze , @abhishek_89 , All Seniors, any idea on when OINP might issue NOI under HCP stream in 2018 ?
any trend such as once they complete the ongoing applications which were submitted in Nov 2017 or so they will issue .
I was not in EE pool in 2017 until october 2017 was not following the trend, so not sure how frequently NOI were issued this year.
but the latest date is February 21, 2017 when they opened HCP stream application process and in May 2017 they issued fresh NOI[Based on OINP program update page] , if they follow similar trend then we will have to wait until May..
In 2017, OINP restarted on Feb 22/23.

Hope and illusion are 2 different thing. And also hope is not supposed to turn into passivity.

Go for the real statistics from the last year and it will be against you. More that 3 million people do want to immigrate to Canada. And only app. 94k will pass through EE (not all PNP use EE) - that is app. 47k of successful application (when average family is app 2 people per application). Add total waste rate app. 30% (ITA that will not end up in approved application) and you will get the picture. And that picture shows that applications for this year got overheated (they invited too many people early this year). The average amount of 24-25 ITA is indeed 2800-2900 per draw, which shows plenty of candidates with CRS of 430+.
.So unless the system will change (amount of points received, size of the average family or the total waste rate), your thinking is an illusion and a fairy tale.

In a way it is actually rather sneaky strategy to put others in illusion and let them sit and do nothing while one works on his own score (less proactive people means lower competition).

I do not intend to help bench warmers who decided to do so. What is needed here are people who will work for their goals.

You know what, best way to stay away from Canada and Northern America as such. You know, too much competition, too many shattered dreams. Life is too hard here to live it in passivity.
You are very wrong with your assumptions on the average number of ITA's.

If you consider that the current average (from Aug till Nov) is around 2700-2800 even after high number of ITA's (averaging in the high 3000's) were issued in the early part of this year and the total number of ITAs which would be issued in 2017 would be close to 90K (already above 80K and expecting 3 more draws).

So considering the 2017 numbers as a baseline, we should hope to have around 90K ITA's again in 2018 and with 25-26 draws, we should be having average number of ITAs around 3400-3500 and not around 2800-2900. Hence, expecting lower cut offs in 2018 when the number of ITAs issued goes up!

LOL. I am PR already. What about you?
In one of your previous posts I saw you lecturing someone about the need to learn Canadian language and culture before immigrating to Canada. I agree with you!

But I hope you would agree with me on the below statement too!
'To live with other human beings anywhere on planet earth, you need to have a good attitude.'

Ideally your Experience letter should be like this. If you cannot get your previous roles & responsibilities from your company then write a letter like this and get signed by your colleague or manager. Upload original experience letter from company and this letter along with your appointment, joining, promotion/demotion letter. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

15th November 2017-present (Your current designation):
Responsibilities:

1. Xxxxx
2. Xxxxx
3. Xxxxx
4. xxxxx

Mr. (your name) is a very professional and a skillful employee of this company. However, we shall have no problem releasing him if he is granted permanent residence in Canada and we wish him all the very best for his future life.

If you require any further information please feel free to contact me.

Yours Sincerely
signature
(Signing person’s name)
(his designation)

(Company name).
(Company address).
Phone: (his phone).
Email: (his email).
It is also recommended to attach a business card of the HR/Manager who is signing the letter. CIC has been calling the office reception and when nobody receives the call, they start doubting..

Thanks for this @SGtoCAD and for everyone who has given him a wonderful reply. @vensak, if you are so good at following the rules then you should probably take your English classes again and sit for another exam. This would make you a very good PR Canada will be proud of, because what you've been writing in your submissions isn't really good english. I had to re-read through to understand some of the things you were trying to say. All the best.
Guys guys !!!everyone is entitled to their thoughts and opinions regardless of saying the right thing or senseless , im so proud of this roof and the whole approach from which this place shines and touches every single person regardless of colour creed and with such greatness comes a greater responsibilty we need to know the level too from when and where to say in its most approprite measure...stay positive like the usual and keep moving , canada or a bigger dream nothing is imposible for anyone of us. No intensions to point any one. Lets be the big person....in the ray of hope !!!

Hi all. I had a question regarding my teaching experience. I have 2yr 11 months teaching experience. When I'm counting it as 2yrs, my CRS is 428 (which is how I should count it). But it's just a month short of 3yrs. I don't know if there's a way in which I can take it as 3 yrs??
It was due to maternity that I had to leave my job twice and fell short of the 3yr mark.
Help and suggestions please.

As received .......not my piece of info;)

Hope you'll find it helpful

Step by Step guide for adding newly married spouse to your application. If Marriage date is post AOR and before your first landing in Canada........

1) If you get married before the first landing on your CoPR, then this is what you need to do.......

2. Within the week of your marriage raise a CSE informing CIC about your marriage and by that change in your family composition. Send the same information on email to CPC Ottawa.

3. Once they acknowlegde they will probably ask you to return the CoPR and your passport, which is now deemed as invalid.

4. Your application will be re-opened and several new placeholders will appear in your account.

5. You will not need to complete the application kit, which will include your spouse's background information form, travel hisotry, personal hisotry etc.

6. You will need to upload your marriage certificate, spouse passport copy, medicals/digital photos and applicable PCC. You will NOT require spouse IELTS or WES or updated new POF. Since your CRS points wont be affected and wont be re-calculated.

7. From here on expect the process to take 2-4 months as they will need to practically redo your application, except for ECA/IELTS/POF/Work experience verification.

8. At this point if your medical has expired or nearing expiry, you will be asked to redo your medicals as well.

9. If all ok with your spouse's background checks, security and criminiality, you will get a 2nd PPR and then you know the drill.

Note :
Book your tickets and fly off to Canada, before the addition of the 3rd member in your family, as it will be faster and simpler if that addition happens in Canada.

@lino82 Thank you so much for your response :)

Yes, responsibilities for all three positions are falling under the NOC 2171-Information System Analyst. Did you also applied on the same NOC?

I had exactly this concern in my mind as well. My responsibilities for all three positions are similar, with gradual increase in them as time passed. I was advised by another member earlier that I should list roles and responsibilities for each position separately even if they are repeating. what do you suggest? should I list them once or separately?

I’d say list them once, and attach the work exp letter and you have a additional document place holder in the end while doing the eAPR where you submit the LoEs...LoEs can be a number of them as one single doc (I had a preface letter indexing 9 LoEs that followed ~ for work exp , for address history , for personal history , proof of funds , PCC etc) ...include an LoE explaining that despite having three different titles (not too different too) your roles were matching to that of ba and hence you’ve chosen the noc as your primary and only noc...

I’m sure cic is only interested in knowing the genuinity of ur experience and the selection of noc to ur actual role & duties and responsibilities performed and not in matching the title word by word...
All the best

It doesn't matter what's your level of English or French, what colour are you, what school or university you attended, what kind of clothes are you wearing, whether you know something about Canadian history, culture, tradition or have "the infamous Canadian experience".. you can just come here, be yourself and you will see people appreciate your attitude, efforts, outlook on life, will to improve, to learn and passion for the things you do or want to do. Like in any other country in the world, it seems Canadians too like genuinly good people with simple goals. They aren't looking for geniuses, philosophers, you don't have to pretend you are better or smarter than everyone else. Everybody will have a chance to show their skills, you are respected for who you are. That's Canada, from experience!! I wasn't on the forum for a while, we came here about a month ago and I can really say it's beyond our expectations. Anybody worrying about jobs - just DON'T! There are plenty of them, there are enormous chances you will do the type of job you want. If you have enough courage to apply, wait for an ITA (which is excruciating), go through the whole process (which is even more excruciating), leave home and move to a country you've never even been to with just high hopes - Congratulations! You are on your way to success. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, I think they will just repeat the scenario from last year and the time for giving out bunch of ITAs is very close!
ps. Those who say it can't be done should not interrupt those who are doing it. LOL! As for the points, they have to come down lower than in 2017, it's pure logic.
