Hi,

I got ITA in last week's draw, I am trying to gather the required documents together
I have a question related to work experience letters, I hope esteemed members would be kind enough to guide me through...

I have got a experience letter from my company that contains
hours of work , present designation, job and responsibilities , emp id on employer letter head

but it does not contains below data

  1. it is 1 year old
  2. Does not mentions my salary
  3. does not mention all the designation hold from date of joining (ie: 10 years ago....)

I am not in a situation to ask from my employers to issue a fresh exp letter again...
Can I get an notarized affidavit created , where I declare that
  • I am still working in the same organization
  • My Present Salary is XXX
  • Give details of designation hold from (xyz to abc)

To prove same , I can provide my Salary stubs, form 16, ITR. (proving I am still with same organization and performing same role and my salary)
Yearly appraisal and promotion letters (showing change of designation)

Your reply would be really helpful....
Why havent they mentioned your designations held details and salary details in the letter? If it is their policy u need to explain it in a LOE and support this existing reference letter with ur appointment letter, promotion letters and yes your pay stubs and tax returns. Also a letter or email from HR saying that they wont mention those details in reference letters

But if ur officer asks for an updated then u have to provide one other wise 1 year old is good to go.
Well my previous employer didnt write number of hours worked as well .. They only wrote my designations held from-to and best wishes ..

If I ever get a PR I plan to
  • Attach my designation change letter along with increment letters .. to prove my salary as I do not have salary slips
  • I do not have anything to prove my hours worked .. May be my offer letter or a reference letter(of an existing employee not sure if it will work)
Well my previous employer was (if I put in a right way) not were accommodating so getting new reference letter would be a hurdle .. if not impossible ..

Other than that I wont have any issue getting a letter from my existing employer's SDM ..

Logically yes I agree with you. But to be fairly honest I didn't even apply in 2015 and 2016 since the CRS was always above 450 460 range. This year it went to 413 levels.

So you never know what can be the lowest possible score. So let's have a ray of hope for all.
In my above post you are the type of applicant I am referring to - those who applied for Canada PR seeing the downward trend of the CRS cut off earlier this year! The same is going to happen in 2018, 2019 and 2020. More applicants are coming into the pool when the CRS cut off starts the downward trend in 2018.

This is the reason why all those who are trying to apply for Canada PR should be ready by Jan 2018 and not wait for the cut off to fall and then start with the WES and IELTS process.

You are right, even if there is no draw today, and if the next draw happens on 29th, if they take around 3000 applicants, we will see a significant drop in the CRS score.
If the next draw happens on Nov 29th with 2750 ITA's, it won't be a significant drop and the CRS cut off would remain on or above CRS 433.

If not today let's hope for back to back draws on 29th Nov and 6th Dec to see a drastic fall in CRS.
Really hoping for ITA on Dec 6th and feel the probability of Dec 6th is high as cic will not be working end of Dec.
So two draws of Dec can be on 6th and 20th

I'm not predicting but I'm wishing for the following
Nov 29th draw crs 433 +/- (2)
Dec 6th draw crs 428 +/- (2)
Dec 20th draw crs 425 +/- (2)

Jan draws subsequent fall in crs

Let's pray this comes true....prayers can do wonders
I guess you picked the dates from my below prediction! :)

I hope the 1 week gap draw happens, if not today, then on Dec 6th and the cut off goes into the 420's!

71,700 for 2017 and 74,900 for 2018. I'm almost sure they're already using the 2018 quota, people getting ITA today are most likely to land next year.
The numbers you have mentioned are not the ITA targets, they are the PR targets for Federal Economic stream consisting of FSW, FST and CEC.
ITA targets and PR targets are not the same.

Lotsa speculation about a draw happening today...Here’s my take...The last draw for 2017 will definitely happen on 20th Dec hence am 100% sure we will witness a back to back draw between today & 20thdec . The probability for a consecutive draw happening on 20th dec after the dec 13th draw is more likely as cic might wanna give a huge christmas surprise to all of us...The chances of a consecutive draw today or on 6th dec seem less likely...however if there is a draw today , my prediction for scores would be range bound between 431-433 depending upon the no of ITA’s being issued which also could be range bound between 2750 - 3500...lets hope i am proven wrong today & scores goes down to 431 so that i get my ITA
I strongly feel the 1 week gap draw is going to happen on Dec 6th seeing their affinity towards 1st Wednesdays of every month!

:p:p:p:p:p
I also feel the same but when I checked 2016 draws, there was a draw on Dec 16 and then on Dec 22
So if not Nov 29 and Dec 6, there might be consecutive draws on Dec 13 and Dec 20 but there will be a consecutive draw before the year ends for sure;);)
