Thank you, I truly hope so too! I got the same response when speaking with CIC myself, which is why I reached out to my MP in the dirt place! MP stands for Member of Parliament - so what you can do is email your MP, explain your situation, and ask if they can help you find out more information about your file. From their end, they can contact the visa office directly (Vienna) and find out the exact status of the application. This is how you can find out exactly what steps are left for your application to be completed :)

Wow, I really had not thought about contacting my MP! That's a great idea, thanks a lot for your answer, it is much appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I received a passport request from the Vienna visa office. My dilemma now is how to go about the passport return. I have asked DHL, Fedex and UPS and they have no idea about return delivery. I'll be glad if anyone here can help me out. I reside in Switzerland by the way. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

Finally my background check started yesterday. Anyone else from Vienna whoz background check is in process or any indication how long it will take?

I just got a medical request from them, so i hope my background check will also start soon.

I need opinions!

We got our first AOR on November 1st
Sponsor got a letter on November 2nd with cic number but no approval
On November 3rd applicant was asked for Schedule A form
On November 7th applicant asked for medical exam

IS THIS NORMAL?
Feels like it’s moving way too fast.
Ps I am the sponsor sponsoring my husband

Can someone give insight on this?
Thank you
