Hello all!! My husband received his request for PCC and Schedule A back in the beginning of September and it was uploaded and mailed out. Just today though a third line was added to the online tool. The ‘medical received’ used to be the third line and just today was replaced by

  1. We received XXX application for permanent residence on July 27, 2017.
  2. We started processing XXX application on September 18, 2017.
  3. We sent XXX correspondence on September 2, 2017. If XXX has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have XXX do so as soon as possible. Please wait until XXX receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  4. Medical results have been received.

Is this normal?

I got the same thing months ago so I guess it's normal. Once you uploaded all additional documents they asked for, you should be good and can ignore statements like that.

When someone has time could they give a heads up on steps to take once they reach Canada
Medicare card
Social Security card
Can they drive with their Jamaican license
I know I could ask google, but would love to hear first hand how the process went

It depends on a few things:
- you need to have something with your address before you can get your OHIP (Ontario health card)
- if you are landing on the weekday, you can get your SIN at the airport
- In ontario, you have to write the written test, and then do your G2 license (right after passing), you dont have to wait the one year period. This applies if you have have atleast 1 year driving experience in Jamaica. Not sure what the process is if you have more than 2 years driving experience.

Hope this is helpful.

Out of curiousity, which airport does SIN?

Morning,

My husband received the same letter or supposedly it was sent out on October 11. After 3 weeks of not receiving it I emailed Kingston high commission. They responded with the letter that was sent. Which requested 2 passport pictures on a white background, receipt of landing payment and further supporting documents.

That was what the letter entailed. All have been sent and now back to the waiting game.

Try emailing them there turn around time to responded was quite impressive one day.
