Hi, my application is not moving since medicals were cleared. Following is the timeline:
AOR-31st Aug, 2017
Medical cleared-16th Sep, 2017

I sent a mail to CPC-CTD-Ottawa, and got the following reply:
"Thank you for contacting us at CPC-Ottawa. Your file isn’t presently at our office, it’s at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney NS Canada. I can confirm your application is in our system and is being reviewed."

Following is the status since medicals were cleared and has not moved a bit since then:
Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided are being reviewed.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: Not applicable.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

My first application was rejected as PCC did not cover my full stay in India. Can somebody please guide me if the above processing time is normal? i am a bit worried as most of the people have there BG IP1 started by now. Request you to also add me to whatsapp group, if any. TIA!!!

Do you know where your application is?

My application is at ip1 but I called CIC and was told my file was moved to LVO. Small progress but still a progress I guess.
Mine is still at Sydney CIO. I have requested GCMS notes to find out what's going on. Have tried calling but never get through, what number and what subsequent set of extensions are you using to get through?

Seems they have slowed down the processing. havent heard of PPRs for AUG applicants since long.
Not sure if they have slowed down.Lot of ppl having September AOR is getting their PPR too.So i believe its case to case , depends on visa office, number of PCC in your application and then your LUCK .

Also it depends on the stream and dependents. FSW gets ppr quickly compared to CEC, and if someone have dependents they get quicker too.

You actually moved.. NA - MEP - IP1 - NA2
People usually experience delays at NA2

Call +1 613 944 4000. You can call from Google hangout or skype. It's free. Just follow the instructions and dial extensions as you hear. Then you can talk to the agent.

I am relatively new. I kept tracking daily, but never seen any updates. Can you please please explain how you reached conclusion that IP1 is complete? As per my understanding, application being in CIO, Sydney, NS means "It's where all applications are scrutinized first for completeness and document check. If clear then they will go for further processing - eligibility, criminality, Medicals and then to local visa office". Copied..
Generally, your application will follow the below path after the submission.

BG: Not Applicable (NA1)
Medical passed – (MEP)
BG: In Progress (IP1) – R10 check is done here.
BG: Not Applicable (NA2) – Eligibility check is done here.
BG: In Progress (IP2) –
BG: Not Applicable (NA3) – Sometimes this doesn’t come
PPR: Passport Request
CoPR: Confirmation of Permanent Residence
So it is in below order

AOR – NA1 – MEP – IP1 – NA2 – IP2 – NA3 – PPR – CoPR

AOR: This is a letter you will get within 24 hours after submission of your PR application.

NA1: “Not applicable“. This will be your BG status message as soon as you submit and get AOR. Typically, this will be status till the time you get your medical passed status.

MEP: “You passed the medical exam“. This will generally happen after approx 25-30 days after your AOR. For PNP applicants it can take more time generally.

IP1: This will happen one or two days after your medical. Sometimes on the same day itself. BG status message in this stage will be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office).

NA2: “Not applicable“. This will signify that IP1 is completed. Sometimes IP1 will take few hours and if we have not checked our account during the time it was in IP1, it won’t be possible to know that we are in NA1 or NA2. Our file will be transferred to CPC (Case Processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.

IP2: BG status message in this stage will be “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“. Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day, PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF up front. These things will be done at CPC office.

NA3: “Not applicable“. This will signify that IP2 is completed. This status is not visible is many cases and direct PPR request is placed from IP2.

PPR: Passport Request. You will get an email for that and you may not get an update in your CIC account for this.

ADR: Sometimes an additional document is requested in IP1 or IP2 stage. An email, as well as message in your CIC account, will be sent.

Hope this helps

Managed to get through to CIC call center after being on hold for 30 minutes and was told my file has moved to LVO. It's a bit bizarre as I am still in IP1 since Sep 1, I thought files didn't go to visa offices until NA2. Does it mean R10 and criminality are complete if it's at LVO? I'm awaiting notes, but that will be a few weeks from now. Any insight is appreciated.
