Thanks for the response. I find it interesting since I haven't lived outside of Canada for over a decade and have only traveled occasionally for vacation. I didn't think the country would be an issue in my case being from a South American nation. Is there any way to inquire about the status of those background checks?
Some CIC agents are nice and tell you what's going on, some don't. To be honest there's no way to find out. This whole citizenship process is a wait and watch game.

I passed my test oct 18th, got 18/20 and the agent asked very few questions and didn't even look at my original documents. The interview lasted about 7 minutes and was very easy. She said I was ready to take the oath. I still don't see any decision made posted to ecas

How do people know how busy is the citizenship and immigration centre for Oath ceremony in coming weeks or months? Is there a way to find out the schedule of Citizenship and Immigration offices?

Allo just want to ask if you take tour exam in eng’ish or french thé same as in interview .. cause your from Montréal.. thanks

I was actually considering doing the same, but I was also wondering if it is really worth doing it before they ask for it? will it really make a difference? also all of my Arabic stamps have english in them (half of the stamp is in Arabic and the other is English). I don't see any reason for the translation.
yeah I know. I did translate my few stamps and gonna take it to the interview. Mine is all in farsi so I think they will ask for a translation

I gave my test in Scarborough on 26th September, still no news. :(
Oh! I looked up in other parts of this forum and found out that lots of people are complaining about the slowness of the Scarborough centre with regards to sending invitations to Oath ceremony. Some people even wrote to their respective MPs, crazy.

Here is the link to the timelines for Scarborough centre from Decision made to invitation to the Oath ceremony: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZmsC4bp0t7TLDne6qmZy6cWqbhSRf0oSCkCTCavwI2s/edit#gid=55
