I think you are in IP1 stage.

My background status moved to "Your background check is in progress" from Not applicable on Monday I believe. lets see when PPR mail is received

I just spoke to immigration again & they havent even started my Security/ BG checks yet he said to manage your expectations it could be March 2018 for them to complete them.... nightmare ! Im getting very over it.

How is that possible? Did they tell you any details of what might be the problem? Is it you Pcc or what? My application is the same. Also June and very slow. I'm still IP1. Did you request GCMS notes? I did yesterday. It is very tiring for me as my job has become nightmare and I can't leave...

Tbh i have no idea....

My application got rejected early on due to wrong PCC issued to me, however, i got the application reopened. I ordered 2 sets GCMS & it says Security: Cancelled, so im assuming they started it but cause they rejected it, it got cancelled & they havent started it again?! Im so confused, my BG check is NA on my account. They requested ADR 2 weeks ago & its been uploaded ready for review and the agent said my elligabilty, Criminality have all been passed they just have to do Security checks which could take months

Agents are not super reliable source in regards to timelines and dates so I would not stop hoping that your PR should be here soon. Especially when they requested ADR which they usually request at a very last stage. Heads up ))

Thats what i thought but the last set of GCMS WAS issued Sept 20th and still have cancelled on them. I got adr on 7th Oct & the agent said security hasnt started yet... Im very confused byt appreciate your reply

The agents are not reliable and they have given incorrect information in the past to people. For most people, security doesn't take long expect if the case is chosen for security screening. Btw, your GCMS notes should have a due date on it...what does your due date say?

the due date on latest GCMS is Oct 24th.... ive been reading that security checks take months?!
I saw this link but its for urgent security screening and it says 3-5 days... they did ask for ADR family information document so it could be for security screening purposes?? Im just so confused. Im not worried about securiry screening, never been in trouble with the Law nor has my family..... is security screening and BG checks the same???

I really think you will get it before that due date! Don't think too much about it! By the way did you claim point for any family member? Maybe that's why they requested family information..

Nah, im a single applicant. I didnt put my dad down on the original application as he has passed & didnt know him too well, however, hes on my birth cert. So conflicting info there i just needed to verify...... fingers crossed hun. This is super stressful & tbh the guy i spoke to was a abit of a douche
