I recently applied for Outland in September for my husband. He has done his medical exam and it says they have been received on my ecas. However, it still says application received, shouldn’t it say in process if they got the medical results? I’m a little worried.

Thanks :)

No, in process on ecas means the file is being transferred to the VO and it stays like that until decision made.

So once it’s been transferred to the VO, it then changes? So it has nothing to do with when they actually begin to process it??

Yes, when the transfer begins, it changes. Normally you would see the "in process" status in ecas before you get the email with the letter saying the file is being transferred. Then shortly after that there will be another line in ecas saying "we started processing your application on **/**/****", and that is considered AOR2. In process basically means the app is going to stage 2, where it's the PA's turn to be assessed, referring to the background, criminality, inadmissibility, etc.
