adding common law partner after copr

hello. Im Andrew. Last june 2017 i already received my immigrant VISA. I emailed CIC regarding a change of status after visa stamp. CIC emailed all requirement. Im adding my common law partner as non accompanying. im here in USA right now as tourist and will be returning in dec 2017 in Philippines. I never land in canada as per CIC advised

How long will it take to add my common law after we submitted on oct 5 2017 all the requirements? my medical will expire on May 2018.how long will it be? im returning all my documents except for passport. it will be surrendered after us travel.

any similar case? thanks in advance.

Hello. I will be in a very similar case in a moment, except my medicals expire in March. I am sending an email to ICRR at the moment to notify them of Common Law status. How long did you wait for reply, and what are the requirements that they asked you to provide, if I might ask?

i emailed them last sept 10 and responded 4 days. Last Oct 8 we sibmitted all required docs.

some of them are passports, copr, spousal questionnaires, etc

no response yet til now..

So so far 5 days? Did you submit all the documents digitally, or is there anything that you needed to send by mail?

i submitted them to canadian embassy in the philippines. hard copy documents.
