Hi @trumprefugee I have 1.5 year experience after graduation but that was in skill level C so I am NOT claiming points for that, then a 1 year gap, and now I am currently working since last 1.5 years in skill level A role, I'll be completing 2 years in December. I have made my profile and it says I have met the requirements and I am eligible. There shouldn't be any issues post ITA right? Considering I only have 1.5 years of experience, would it be a problem?
No problem. The minimum amount of skilled experience required is 1 year.

Excellent. Yes, I need more friends to practice Spanish with, especially after I move to Canada, but it's never too soon! We might need to start a Spanish speaking/practicing group. Who wants to join?
I saw Narcos recently and I somehow felt Spanish as a language is warm. I have been to Spain and people there were so welcoming. I mean, they hardly knew English, even young generation in Spain prefers to speak Spanish than English. Regardless of language, they tried to help me through the routes even though I couldn't understand a bit. I'd definitely want to learn Spanish and visit Colombia after for some Despacito. :p:p:p

How about French?

Tell that to someone who has lived her whole life in tropical countries!:p:D

I so love summer!! :D
Unfortunately, you're going to miss your summer in Canada. :p:p

I have lived most of my life in India and believe me, I hate summers. Very idea of summer approaching makes me anxious.:eek:

Even now, first thing I do after I wake up in morning is to peep out of my window and check if it is sunny or cloudy. :D:D

I am also Dominican, sitting on 415, waiting on my wife to take IELTS. Sooo, ultimately waiting for CRS to drop like almost all of us. Let's see what happens. I cannot get any more points from IELTS, but I should have a master by Jan. 2019, which is so far away though...

Yes, the Spanish and the Latin Americans tend to be warm people with collectivist cultures. I do want to travel to a few places, including Latin America and Spain, after I become Canadian.

Are you learning French? I am still a slow beginner, mostly using duolingo and some FSI French lessons. I really need to ramp up more seriously We have a small whatsapp group for practicing French, although we haven't been very active lately. (I really need to buckle down for more intensive French study)
https://chat.whatsapp.com/1HQROITB0p51B3kNAsVzAi

Also, if anyone wants to practice Spanish, I started this whatsapp group:
https://chat.whatsapp.com/9MyFzjOMylXJKyP40ZKnxK
(I'm a lot more comfortable conversing in Spanish than French, so I should be more chatty there)

(I know some of you mentioned telegram or discord for more privacy, but I'm not motivated to install more apps at this point - I have too many chat apps as it is ... .. and hopefully we someday can also be offline friends after we move to Canada)

Stay realistic and stay on the subject please. If you're coming from some remote continent as Asia, which means no apartment renting references, be prepared to pay a huge deposit, some say, in other threads, that they had been asked to pay deposits worth 3-4 times of their monthly rent. In Ontario it means paying 4-5k upfront, before you have a chance to send out your first resume. So imagine if 12k is all you have and you must pay 5k just to have a place to sleep. You're very likely to end up as a laborer and the government of Canada must know that.
Let's be realistic and allow me to ask you something. Which continent are you from? You're suggesting immigrants to have six digit figure in their savings account or they're doomed. I'm seriously wondering if this never occurred to CIC officials to raise amount they seem to be mentioning in POF.

Apology for my ignorance as I don't seem to know you better. I might have missed your posts earlier but are you pursuing express entry? What is your CRS? Are you outland or inland applicant?

Sorry to be harsh but this is ray of hope thread and not ray of doom and to me, you sound like a racist kid who is not even close to facts.
