Do i start doing medical when i enter the pool or wait on the request?

You schedule and complete a medical only AFTER you receive an ITA. You could TECHNICALLY do it before, but then you run the risk of not getting an ITA for a while and then the medical expiring. Also, some of the authorized doctors won't allow you to do the medical before you get an ITA and can show them evidence of such.

Life keeps throwing challenges at us regardless of our situation, which happens to be immigration in our case. I'm personally quite impatient and keep thinking about something or the other. I feel, waiting period after ITA would be lot sweeter.

However, I'm also sure, all of us will remember this phase few years from now after having settled in Canada.

What kills me the most is the uncertainty and inability to plan things. I don't mind waiting a couple years if I know that it will take a couple years and then could plan my life around that. At least post ITA you know with more certainty that you will be moving in around 6 months, although of course, anything could happen at any time, including rejection that would throw you back to square one. So we have to keep being prepared for the unexpected, which means inability to make any plans beyond the very short term.

Jokes apart what were the reason for constant increase in crs from 433, 434 and 435 in all previous draws, apart from less number if ita's issued?

If anyone can throw some light on this.

People usually graduate in summer months, so it has to be reflected here as well.

I completely agree with you. Biggest problem is uncertainty. One can never plan unless he receives ITA or pretty much sure of receiving one. After all, we are not getting any younger. I feel everybody here would be far more relaxed only if CIC would conduct draws in more systematic manner.

Also, I wish they could let us know draw dates well in advance.

Definitely not a personal question.

I'm married with 2 kids and my wife and I lived in London when our eldest was born. We left London to raise her in South Africa as the quality of life here (for the reasonably well off) is unmatched. Large houses, big gardens and cheap food. Also, the family is here so that was a selling point.

My hesitance to go back now is the cost of getting a decent house in England puts me off as well as the weather.

Canada appeals to me due to their liberal views on immigration and diversity as well as being situated so close to the powerhouse of the Eastern United States for business as well as access to some of the best universities in the world.

Along with their lifestyle of larger houses and land, I am worried about the weather though.

I have thought about Germany but the current rise of the political right in Europe worries me a bit and I see Canada as the safest political country for at least the next few decades.

How can I agree with you more,
The racism in Australia is pretty high compared to Canada , all the remaining things you mentioned are bang on.

Once I accepted the fact that things were going to stay uncertain, it helped me view it as an adventure. Not really possible for those who have kids. But right now, we are expecting things to stay uncertain. Our first month or two in Toronto might be airbnb because we don't want to tie ourselves into a lease.

CIC has no obligation to conduct their business for our convenience. No use complaining.

What kills me about this Canada journey so far.

If we'd thought to apply at the beginning of this year we'd have received our ITA and be through the process right now. Would have had 425 points in January so would have been picked on the 12th of April.

Just looking how quickly the CRS dropped in April gives me some hope that 420 will be drawn soon. They went from 441 on the 24th of March to 415 on the 19th of April.

This waiting in a pool idea is for the birds, please CIC give us a 3200+ ITA draw this week to start the momentum

And I thought its ok to be in pool from 2015, get an ITA and then getting rejection.
Buddy seems,you can understand how hard it is to wait for the draw when kids are separated for studies and that also when they are 9 & 7.

Waiting for ITA again and hoping to go through this.

Agreed, accepting that things would stay uncertain is the right attitude at this point. It is also less stressful when I know that I likely won't be moving for at least 6 more months. I'm actually less stressed now after getting final word that my job offer fell through. It was more stressful waiting every day for several months for the go ahead to move to Toronto. I could not plan anything at all and was even nervous about scheduling IELTS exam and renewing my passport in case I had to move in between. And I was trying to settle a few things here on the assumption that I would be getting ready to move any day but not knowing when (like finding help for business matters that I will need right after I move but without the ability to give a definite timeline).

Did you get ITA and then rejection?? What were you rejected for? (You might have answered this before - are you the one who didn't have the right NOC code or PCC for a country you stayed in for under 6 months?)

Did you get ITA and then rejection?? What were you rejected for? (You might have answered this before - are you the one who didn't have the right NOC code or PCC for a country you stayed in for under 6 months?)

None of the above, it was a stupid mistake by the agent , he did not , rather we did not check for the birth certificate of the younger one.
What we had was a certificate from the embassy stating her DOB,
IRCC rejected that letter saying it has to be from the country of birth. The passport was not accepted as a proof of DOB.
Life is still going on...
