I assumed the Er. means engineer in your name, Sorry if its not.
The Engineering jobs are regulated in almost all Canadian province,so the question is to know more about this regulation and if it poses any concerns in EE PR application/Job search after landing.

Career Engineer: Engineer who works in engineering sector and not in management, SW development or other career options.
Yes, I am a Telecommunication engineer and my NOC is 2147.

Thanks for sharing, Gavin. Just the heat is a deal breaker for me! One of the reasons I want to move to Canada is because the summers here in New York are too hot for me.
I assume you have friends in Canada. You should definitely ask them about summers in Toronto.

What kills me about this Canada journey so far.

If we'd thought to apply at the beginning of this year we'd have received our ITA and be through the process right now. Would have had 425 points in January so would have been picked on the 12th of April.

Just looking how quickly the CRS dropped in April gives me some hope that 420 will be drawn soon. They went from 441 on the 24th of March to 415 on the 19th of April.

This waiting in a pool idea is for the birds, please CIC give us a 3200+ ITA draw this week to start the momentum

Hi,

I think you have a good chance. Scores may drop really quickly once CIC get the ball rolling in an attempt to meet the 2017 targets. So hang in there, but also keep the OINP option open.

All the best

easier said than done unfortunately.

We need to decide on our kids future so this unknown aspect is really causing issues for us :(
I know what you mean. Securing a future for the kids drives us all crazy. This process will definitely push your patience to the limit, but it can only make you stronger.

Hello friends!
Here we go again, new week and new hope mean there would likely to be a draw but I hope CIC will increase ITAs numbers step by step of course. All the best to all of us! Patience to some of us, including me ;)
No idea about cut-off but wanna see just more ITAs, that may bring down score, coz there wasn't IELTS results, so not many people are entering 430+ in the pool.

Happy and wonderful week everyone, good luck. :)

Can you please share the format of reference / exp letter which I need to obtain. I have found many sample templates and not sure which will be apt for this situation.

Thanks!
there aren't any specific format as such...
I got my supervisor to write one stating as below
To whomsoever it may concern

This is to confirm that mr.xyz was a permanennt employee of ABC ltd, from mm/yr to mm/yr,working 40hrs a week,on full time basis, reporting to me in my capacity as the Project Head,XYZ ltd.
During the tenure he worked in following designations as given below
from dd/mm/yy to dd/mm/yy : Designation
Responsibilities Handled
* fill in one by one the responsibilities such that it sync well will the ones stated in cic website against ur chosen noc
*---
*
His total annual fixed compensation for the period was #######,and he was also entitled for performance linked variable pay and other employee benefits.
I wish him all the best in his all future endeavours.

Name
Designation
Phone
Email
----
and as the next page scan his present Id / visiting card
----
So in ur case compile all in the order into 1 single PDF as ,
this letter / his id&visiting card / the ias officer's letter / his visiting card

----
Also while filing eAPR write a letter of explanation mentionig all the details..
---
I'm sure you'd have come across better reference letter formats...choose what suits u.. :)
