hi...what i meant eith two hours is that my consultant told me that once i update my file with married status, they will give me two hours to upload the documents which are my husbands passport, marriage certificate n his pcc and ofcourse updated Proof of funds.. i got my AOR on june 4th and i got married on 9th August. she said that once i update hese things the cic will send me a letter with barcode ehich states to get my husbands medical. thats why we have not updated the file yet.

It's the first time I ever hear of such a thing. Could be true. I have a tendency to mistrust consultants due to what I've seen on the forum. Let's wait for the experts.
i know even i dont trust them. i have been reading in forums and hat i came to know was that i have to send the documents through some link. what she told me i have never heard from anyone. i have done. all my work so far on my on. i never went through a consultant she. is my consultants sister, a lawyer. i am very skeptical about this thing. i dont know what to do. plus the pcc is taking so long. i hate this Indian system of work. we had applied for it on 22nd august and we have got the pcc done on 11th sept. it got delayed because of those riots in achandigarh because of that dera mukhi
I guess that's my benefit of living in a small country, we get our PCC in less than 10 minutes. My advice to you is create a different thread with your problem to get a better chance at a reply. Visibility tends to be limited on these types of threads. Good luck!

Well in India it takes time, atleast three days for Canada, if its for sm other country like newzealand u get it right away. The problem here is that in between some stupid ppl started riots, so everything was closed for like a week, and then afte that there is pending work n the officer was unable to come to our house for it. So we had to wait. Now its weekend n its been done since 11th. I dont know if he has not submitted or it is being reviewed at the regional office. So manyd epartments from where it goes through. It takes time which really sucks coz this stuff is so important.
The interesting thing about this forum is you get to learn how things are different in each country. I had no idea the officers would do a home visit for the PCC!! For us we just go to the place where they issue PCC, give our national ID card and you'll have it in a few.
Don't worry it'll work out eventually. One thing to keep in mind that I noticed for other Indian locals is that the PCC they got was the wrong one (there seems to be two different types?). So also double check you have the right one.
No earlier it used to be like that, that we wud go to the police station n just get it done, at that time ppl used to b at home n with influence cud get their pcc done or by bribing, now they made it online, now u have to tk appoint,ent n go to passport office and there they take ur documents n forward ur application to the superitendent of police in ur area n he then sends someone to ur house. Its manadatory to do it at the applicants home since they send a location and the picture has to be outside or inside ur home. To make it more authentic, its such a hassle. They can just take our national ids,... They r getting there but its slow. Atleast its authentic
Exactly wt my husband did, i told him how it is n he did it in wrong way, the officers did it wrong , none od them paid attention n did it how they do it for new zealand which is not acceptable in Canada.
Ouch! That's what happens when people try and workaround the law! They ruin things for all the honest people. Same as in the spousal sponsorship to Canada. Too many marriages of convenience and fraud made it harder for honest couple to be together with their loved ones. So many sad stories on that part of the forum. Hope things work out the best for you and you get an answer. (don't forget to create that thread!)
Thanks a lot, i am just going to create it. I am pretty worried since its taking so long n i want to just update the things asap, n i have no updates on file as well. The scariest part is that we both got married and our parents dont even know, we have not told our family about it. We love each other n his mom is not ready n my parents dont even know, so we just got married n though lets just do it n go there n thn we will talk to them, so u want everything to workout fine and soon. I just cud not leave without him so we had to marry.
