Hi Forum Members,
I applied for PR under Spousal Sponsorship - Outland application in October 2016 and my visa office is New Delhi, India (NDVO). I got to know through MP enquiry that I meet all requirements and my application is pending for a final review/decision by the visa officer. I am currently staying in Canada with my husband on Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) but the issue is that the permit is expiring in the end of September. Since I am not working, so there was no possibility for extension of work permit, so we have applied for extension as a Visitor.
My query is that
1.) If due to any reason my Visitor Visa is refused, can I travel to US since I have a valid US visitor visa and have relatives there?
2.) During my stay in US, if CIC sends PPR, can I mail my passport from US to CIC's Ottawa office in Canada or can I authorize my husband to carry my passport back to Canada to mail to CIC? Which one of these options are feasible and legally allowed?
3.) Should I completely stop thinking about the US option and rather travel to India? Will the US options complicate our case in some way?
Thanks in advance for your help.
