Hello all,
I cant afford the 12000$ for streams to get a PR but it seems I can apply for work permit instead so is this good idea and then later apply for PR before work permit expires?

Hi

You can't just apply for a work permit. You will first need a job offer from an employer with a positive LMIA. The LMIA process has very strict requirements, costs $1000 and takes months to process, so it is extremely difficult to find an employer even willing to try.

Thanks for the reply.
I know that if we get a job offer whether express or temporary the employer must pay 1000 either way.

It's not just the money. As I said, the LMIA process has very strict requirements and is a lot of hassle to go through for an employer. The fact is, you are unlikely to find such an employer.
