I never ordered csis report as i just contacted my mp and they told me that all is completed except my security screening which is in progress. 2015 dec applicant wd spouse
You order CSIS for the same reason to figure out the status of your SS. When you order make sure you clearly explain you need it for yourself if there are more than one applicant in the application.

Another thought,

Self used to be an employee of federal government temporarily and that time, my boss requested me to obtain CSIS security clearance.
That time I only filled a form telling my past history and you know what, after one week only, I got my security clearance.

So I am thinking is it possible that they don't even initiate my SS since I already have security clearance in the past? But how to explain CBSA part? ( Someone in the forum said they will exempt a number of people from SS?)

Related info: https://www.csis-scrs.gc.ca/scrtscrnng/index-en.php

What I had is Government Security Screening
What IRCC needs is Immigration and Citizenship Screening
Thinking if these two types of SS can be exchangeable
I have only seen 2 people in SS who didn't go to CSIS and they are doing Mandamus as they were waiting for more than 30 months. I am not sure if such an exemption exists once you are selected for SS.

CSIS told me they never get any request from IRCC regarding my PR application.Nov 2015 applicant.
Do you have gcms note? What is the SS date on your gcms note? When did your SS start?

In the link I posted above, that fellow concluded like this:

But if you are like me and you know you have done nothing wrong, then you can assume your background check was delayed because of reasons like

- misunderstanding

-your file being lost or assigned to a lazy clerk

-Being born in a country that is considered suspicious

-Name similarity

This reminds me of a very interesting AITP note:
it looks like this ( I use random info instead of my personal info):

Text: Name on Application changed: Old Value(s): JAMES, LERBRON, 1969/09/09, Male, Seattle, United States of America, New Value(s): JAMES, LERBRON, 1969/09/09, Male, WASHINGTON, United States of America

Text: Name on Application changed: Old Value(s): James, Lucy, 1979/08/08, Female, Portland, United States of America, New Value(s): JAMES, Lucy, 1979/08/08, Female, Oregon, United States of America

Obviously an agent changed our hometown address from city name into state/province name; and they changed our name from some lowercase into fully uppercase.
But the problem is, two notes are not in line with each other. I mean, WASHINGTON vs Oregon, JAMES LERBRON vs JAMES Lucy?
Is this the root cause of my delay? Csis may have difficulty to match files and records on my PR application due to the name difference?

Please advise

Guys any update?? I read on the CBSA website that they do security screening for all immigrants and right now April applicants are receiving PPR. How could be possible even after CSIS report, CBSA is taking too long for us while they do security screening for other applicants in days!! I think there is a miscommunication between CIC and CBSA and CBSA already did our security. Anyone received security note from CBSA.

Ordered ATIP in July and on Aug 8th CSBA replied me with a new tracking number saying they need 30 days to process plus mailing time.
So hope it could arrive before the end of September.

It's not going to change anything, if you need comprehensive security screening you need to wait in EE as well. My friends already passed 17 months in EE. I think the best option is the federal court since no other useful option exists.

It's not useful. CBSA does not provide security screening status and results and only you will get a new CIC note from them. A friends of mine got his CBSA note yesterday and it's exactly another print of CIC officer note. They said we don't provide results or status of the SS like CSIS. Not a useful note at all.

They are not working on our applications at all and our best option is court and mandamus. I saw many people with completed CSIS SS in 2016 and early 2017 but nothing changed in their recent notes. I am not going to apply for EE because it's the same thing and only waste of money.
