:)....have to believe things about ur first hand experiences & the budget plans
---
another perspective,
about eating on such a budget plan....from my experience..
--
I used to eat normal & used to enjoy my food well that it took me to 104kgs in 2013 Dec....
thereafter I decided to eat only things when I was really hungry & only what was necessary...to cut short,an year later I was 40kilos lower & ran a half marathon (for first time in my life) & timed better than some navy personnel who ran along with me...
what I realised in the process is that man can live on one fifth of what he usually consumes...but we all are conditioned from birth on supplying food at regular intervals...on survival mode man needs so little and everything starts becoming so tasty once you choose to eat when you are really really hungry and only the necessary amount...man's eating habit changed only with organised farming & social living...for those years men lived as a hunter gatherers, we ate when we found something, just the way over half of the world in some poor African & Asian countries still eat...eating and drinking may be once a day or once in couple of days...eating whatever they get
---
I give that much importance only to food though I surely enjoy a nice dinner with family and friends...but I don't think cost of food will ever beat me or my family ever, anywhere ...
---
and the ease I'm feeling once I slipped into the change feels so much better than the happiness some rich food could get me...
I'll munch on tasty food at times ...but that's not of greatest importance...
I find coffee without cream and sugar / green tea as good as with cream or sugar...I find an oatmeal with not much of tasties added as good as a rich Biriyani...

I'll be sad if a pair of sneakers costed more and they started charging for running on the streets / cycling in the open :(
---
I'm just sharing my perspective...no way trying to tell my thoughts are correct...I find it better than before...
-----
@lino82 have you heard of the Paleo diet or the Primal Blueprint? Your lifestyle and perspective seem similar to mine, although you are more extreme than I am. I still eat a lot of food (I am also a sometimes competitive recreational athlete), but I eat mostly food that gives me the best bang for the buck - like beans, vegetables, eggs, and dairy that pack the most nutrition for the least amount of money while still being filling and tasty. I have roughly adopted a Primal diet and lifestyle for the last 5+ years:
https://www.primalblueprint.com/what-is-the-primal-blueprint/
The basic idea is to eat and live more like how our primal ancestors did (generally in the paleolithic era), because our bodies evolved to be best suited to that lifestyle. It was only in recent years (relative to human history), especially after the advent of mass scale agriculture and then the introduction of mass produced processed foods, that our diets changed significantly. Our bodies have not had time to adapt to these changes, so we as a society are having a lot of health problems (obesity, heart disease, diabetes, etc.) these days. As you point out, our ancestors ate when they found food, which could vary from a few times a day to a few times a week. Many Americans eat 3 meals a day plus snacks, which is unnatural and too often. I also eat when I'm hungry, which is usually once or twice a day.

honestly the thought of such a diet had come to me out of my reasoning as I found out while crash dieting initially that I could survive with a fraction of what I used to eat before...it feels awesome to know that my reasoning has some ground... :)
---
secondly even the whole lifestyle is conditioned from few months old..
--
we are the only animals who stop the young ones from learning things on their own..we stop them from everything out of protective instincts...we tell them not to run not to climb or jump...we stop them for the fear that they may fall down...and we force them to sit at one place from 3/4 years (which goes on till 56 years & then again at home in front of tv) in his/her kg school for 5-6 hours in the beginning to almost 16hrs when grown up (and 6hrs to sleep)...when just like any other animal,he's meant to forage for his food...all the while force feeding at regular intervals
---
nice to know someone who shares my views.. :)

Folks... I am new here..but have been following your threads for sometime now and seriously feel its a very nice chain to continue following. Thanks to whoever is keeping the hopes via these threads alive !! I got my IELTS results today 8.5-9-7.5-8 as in L-R-S-W and I don't see a possiblity going highe. I would end up with a CRS at 400 (spouse criteria considered). Can anybody throw some light on what are the chances of a Sales profile (NOC 0601) getting a nomination? Is anybody aware of any such case... A reply would definitely be helpful in keeping my hopes up..!!
Welcome!! Your IELTS score is really good, the general wisdom is to enter any endeavour with your full might, with all your capacity.May be your spouse can improve scores to get more points or you can learn French.
Plan A - wait for scores to fall,or nomination and job offer
Plan B - improvement actions towards raising points.
Plan C---

I give you my example:
Plan A- I am at 421 and I am waiting for ITA
Plan B - yesterday booked my spouse for IELTS so that I can get 4 more points to reach 425, thats my best level I wish to try with my best possible score. I am also prepared to learn French after Nov if needed.
Hope it gives you ideas.
Good luck and best wishes.

For "some" reason, 6.5 is by far the most common grade in IELTS. Weird, right?
Glad to see some people overcoming this obstacle to increase their CRS.
'some' is a 'lot' now , booked a slot for spouse, buggers have made 'some' as 'new some'=340 Dollar (Sing Dollar)
Me think it's a group of 'Some'ones laughing all the way to banks.

I don't know...I just went crazy about it ...just imagine u are stuck with only 3 kilos of vegetables a pound of bread and 3kilos of fruits and 250 grams nuts for a week...drink lots of water and try to push urself to the limit to stretch it for at least 4-5 days with such a stock ...may be some onions & salad leaves & few lemons and a teaspoon of salt & two table spoons of olive oil and a some lettuce leaves...
----
Ppl here try water fasting...if you are healthy, u could go a whole week only on water..but u need absolute rest ....it will detoxify ur body and slowly u should get back to a controlled diet gradually..
---
these are unscientific and i suggest u consult before attempting...and keep ur dear ones updated about what u are doing if (u do)
--
I was like I was stranded on an island with limited supply and I could stretch...
whenever body tried to test me, I held on by just making another salad and an apple and told my body that the craving for carbs was of no use...
---
I pushed it even harder and later coupled it with cycling ...on a day I remembering cycling about 40kms and eating only an orange the whole day
---
It is risky to try...so test your body and then push it...but stay away from carbs ...and sugar and direct fat like oil butter cheese ...
Include fibre & proteins...if you are obese, one or two weeks u can start ff this way and thereafter u could eat couple of egg whites as well each day...boiled
---
risky, though it worked for me and I intend to supply my body only with what i decide and not what it craves..
----
That was motivational...i do water fasting 3 days followed with dry fasting a couple days ..backed by water faster a couple days and resume back to normal eating habits... I do it alternate weeks...i.e ...in a month i do it for 2 weeks and eat normally for the next two.

But the normal eating is loads of fruits and veggies, eggs, nuts and I love home made greek yogurt.. Without sugar....i try using jaggery instead of sugar when my body craves for something sweet...generally it does not as fructose from fruits satisfies my urge for sweetness

If am not qualified in EE. what about PNP?
Even if you are eligible ,i guess, PNP process will asses you based on your scores and then again this assessment will take place during PR process. To maximize your chances at all stages , please target LRWS to be 8 7 7 7. Its a language skill and in the long run it will greatly help you in the job interviews and your future day to day life in Canada . It will be very effective tool for you to integrate easily ( its a sociological factor)
Dont give up, you can increase you scores by working on it and dividend is ,It will be an opportunity enabler for you later.

Feeling Lost ...
Not sure what my way forward should be .
Please feel free to advice .
TIA

Hello Guys,
I have a question, i am working full time in IT from 2016 and i update that experience in Express Entry, but i also work some part time jobs too along with it, So is it mandatory to update that experience ? or its ok without that.
not necessary...
U need not mention as the period from 2016 will be explained by ur IT job...no need to mention it ...

same pinch
On Sep 9, my spouse will reappear for exam.
most important Tip- if he is sitting in a corner and looking outside window , he is probably figuring out his mistakes in english and possible solutions by running mental simulations of test.
if he has beer in his hand he is probably doing good and happy about it.
This process is called 'Calibration'.
long story short - dont assume he is chilling and not preparing.:)

on a serious note-i improved in Listeninv so i can give tips that helped me.
1.Listening will need practice keeping variety of tests in mind as he need to listen to many accents preferrably Aus, British, NZ and American
2. Practice all type of questions specially maps ,directions and instructions.you dont know which one you get.
3.Each section breaks pattern so candidate must do the same
concentration is key as the tone and sound volume is same during a section so this can cause mind to wander,
4.i change volume to slightly high in section 3 and 4 as it help me concentrate better.

Reading-i cant give tips as i am very good in it naturally.so i read and comprehend very fast.
may be others can help better
good luck and best wishes
