Haha, I don't quite know what you're implying by that comment, but just because he is the leader of the Conservative party doesn't mean he won't help you out or have people in his office to give you a hand (if he wants to get elected, he should be finding ways to impress people after all). My own community is very conservative and we have a wonderful fellow working in the MP's office who has helped many people with all their immigration issues. He even helps people fill out their paperwork as a complimentary service.

Hasn't been my experience at all. Just crickets. Everyone in my community just keeps telling me to go talk to Ralph Goodale. Which I think I'll do in the next month if I think I really need to. He is the Minister of boarder control after all. So maybe better directed there anyway.

Who's that??

A former insurance salesmen turned MP for the conservative party (our republicans) who is now the for leader of the conservative party aka planning to run for Prime Minister in the next elections. He's also a social conservative more than a fiscal conservative so I quickly got the impression immigration isn't a top priority for him. I'm just basing this on not hearing back ever though.

Conservatives are almost against immigration. Liberals are for refugees and asylum. Then who's out there for us?

my GCKey status showing my background check "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." Is it means my background check is in process??

Guys, quick question.....

If CIC/IRCC requesting for more documents like updated Schedule A, more marriage photos with crowd, updated communication, etc., which web form should we use to upload the documents? Local VO web form or Mississauga ones? Just so you know our local VO is London and we got an email from London. We're going to mail the documents anyways but I was also thinking about uploading all the documents using web form. But I am just confused about which web form should I use at this moment.

Has anyone every come across this situation?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

We also got the 4th line but that doesn't make sense because our application is already in "In Process" Status. Then I realized that CIC took their sweet time to update the 4th line because if you check the date it's almost at the beginning stage of the process right after you got your SA. I would ignore the line but also check in GCkey. In your case you already got AOR2 so that 4th line is just a late update from CIC. I don't think they need any further documents but if they do they'll let you know.

If they need any further documents they'll send you a message in GCkey or via email. They sent message to us via GCkey requesting for more documents.

Everyone keeps mentioning how they have been in touch with their MP to sort things out and then I realized my MP is Andrew Scheer.......... whomp whomp o_O:confused::(
A former insurance salesmen turned MP for the conservative party (our republicans) who is now the for leader of the conservative party aka planning to run for Prime Minister in the next elections. He's also a social conservative more than a fiscal conservative so I quickly got the impression immigration isn't a top priority for him. I'm just basing this on not hearing back ever though.
I have been to the his office at least 10 times in 2 yrs. The assistants are who I discuss my husband's file with. We applied Oct/14. Refused May/15. Appealed & won May/17. My husband is still not here. Anyhow. Their hands are tied for appeals. But I still managed to get some assistance. I have never actually talked with Scheer. Although I knew his wife from work, before they got married. But I asked if he knows that I come there? He gets briefed. They can't do too much for anyone unless the specified waiting time is passed.
Also I did go to Goodale's office once too! That was just a waste of time for me. Maybe not you. When I eventually went back & talked with Scheer's ppl I got told I shouldn't be double dipping mps. I just thought same as you, he's the Minister of CBSA. You should try your MLA. Mine is Docherty. On Avonhurst. I also thought of Ombudsman. And the Saskatchewan Minister of Immigration Jeremy Harrison. But he too is running now for Leader or Premier. His assistant, he has two. Sean Wilson tried to help. Ugh...anyhow. Good luck!

Hi all, I haven't been here in a while but thought I'd update you on my timeline.
The status on my ecas changed on Friday to 'Decision Made' though I haven't received a message on mycic yet.
My application has been languishing in Mississauga without any real update since May, I hope the news is positive.

In the past few weeks I have been offered a job in Vancouver, the company have chosen to pursue a LMIA work permit as the timeline for my spousal residency was unreliable.

My timeline looks like this...

-10th Feb - Application received
-2nd March - AOR1
-7th March - Medical requested
-9th March - Police certificates/schedule A requested and provided
-16th March - Medical passed

-24th May - Request for documents concerning proof of my wife's intention to reside in Canada, promptly provided
