Hey guys how much should we take in cash as a percent from the required pof when landing?and is it ok to take the money in any other currency other than canadian dollars?
Its just that i want things to be simple thats why am asking,ok what about the percentage of pof that is ok to have in cash?It doesn't matter as long as you can show you have the funds. The officers should be able to calculate the current exchange rate.

I am not going to transfer the money to a canadian bank yet,so how much would you advice to take to make things simpleYou can take any amount or percentage that you want. If you want to take 1% in cash, you can. Same goes for all 100% of it in cash. Just make sure that you declare the funds if you carry more than 10,000$ CAD across the border with you.
For me, it's simpler to not carry cash and have it all in a Canadian bank account & investments. Some would say they feel more secure carrying the cash on them. It's personal preference.

Just curious, although I am not at this stage of the process. Did you open a Canadian bank account from overseas and then transferred the funds? That would make things easier for me, I haven't fully researched this yet though.
Bank account
I was going to do both,so how much should i take in cash??I would leave the funds there and show a bank letter or statements. That way you're not dealing with showing a paper trail of where the funds came from.
