Hi guys, I contacted CIC couple days ago and they got back to me saying the following :

Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.

"Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests."

So this means I am under security clearance and basically screwed right ?

Hi @legalfalcon

I have just received my GCMS notes (AOR Feb 16 FSWO)

everything is passed ( medical, criminality, and Eligibility) except security. MY BG is in progress since 15th august.
In My GCMS note there is S.15(1) is written on the top right corner and security status is updated in Activity section and rest everything is blank against Security.

Does this mean my file is selected for security screening ??

or every one has S.15(1) thing in their file, is this common??

Please help me to understand this.
Thanks

As per notes from case analyst on integrated search(foss/gcms) : no trace found other than present appl. Is that where i can see info about FOSS? Where as security was not started.
With that is dr any possibility to get ss at this stage? My new notes will arrive after 30 days so looking fr the clarity on possibility of ss.bg status in profile is NA since april( rprf req)
The FOSS is for criminality. In your case no one has picked up the file and that is why you see no progress, which is typical for IRCC. Getting a SS is only seen after eligibility is passed, and not every one gets it. Most applicants from India do not have SS.

Hi

I have been in NA2 status since 5th July. Last week my file moved to SGVO still it's showing NA2.It's been almost 90 days from my AOR date.I am FSWO.

I was wondering if ordering GCMS will help anyway. Also I want to know if there is any reason for the delay.

@legalfalcon should I order? Will it be good if I do?

The MyCIC status of IP1 NA2 etc do not correlate with what stage your application has passed. It is important to know if your eligibility is cleared, which only GCMS notes can tell you. Further, even the eligibility takes place in 2 stages, first by a case analyst and then by an Officer.

To read on different stages see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

If your application has bene transferred to LVO, then the eligibility will be finalized there, or it must have been finalized before being transferred. no harm in getting GCMS notes.

Dear Legalfalcon,

I will be extremely grateful if you could help me in making the right decision. I am looking for an expert opinion whether me or my Wife should be the Primary Applicant. Following are our credentials:-

Me:-
Age: 35 Years
IELTS R9 L8.5 W7 S7.5 (13th May 2017)
Education : 2 Years Bachelors of Science Degree (Equivalent to Post Secondary Diploma- no ECA Yet)
Experience : 13 Years as Air Force Air Traffic Controller (Resigned 1 Year ago -all employment evidences Available )

Wife:-
Age: 31 Years
IELTS: R8 L8 W7 S8 (13th May 2017)
Education : 3 Years Bachelors of Science + 1 Year MBA ( ECA awaiting Evaluation from IQAS)
Employment Experience: Financial Control Officer (4 Years) (Employment Letter, Reference Letter and Payroll Ledger available but payment made in Cash)

Kids:
1. Son 5 Years
2. Son 3 Years

I have following concerns here:-

1. My Wife being the Primary applicant. Should this be an issue?
Either of you can be the PA, it does not matter. However, after you get the ECA, see who gets more points being the PA and that person should be the PA. Your wife will definitely have an edge when it comes to age for both, CRS and MEC.

2. Wife's Employment Evidences , since payment was made in cash.
It does not matter as long as you can get the reference letter. As per IRCC the reference letter should have the following:

a reference or experience letter from the employer, which

  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits
You do not need the pay stubs for foreign work experience, and if need be you can show the salary through deposits to bank or IT returns.

3. Could my Military Experience become a cause of delayed processing in any way?

It will depend from case to case, based on what kind of a job were you in. If you merely worked in administration, this would not be an issue. However, if you worked in a fighting branch, then your deployment details, your training, expertise etc will be considered, which is a case by case basis. The bottom line is that merely working in the military does not delay the application by itself, in some case it speeds up as most people in the military with a clean record already have their clearances, but this depends on the country of origin.

Thanks.

@legalfalcon And it won't create any problem if I am submitting updates to my documents via CSE post last date of my eAPR date?
Technically I was suppose to submit my eAPR request by/before Aug 16.
No it will not, accepting those documents will depend on the IRCC officer.

Hello legal falcon , I received email stating "my application is at CPC Ottawa office and don't need any further information at this current time " .does it mean Ottawa is my visa office or my application still in initial stage and not moved to visa office
To answer this question you need to see get GCMS and see what stage your application is at. It does not matter which office your application is at as long as there if progress. Applications are regularly distributed based on work load.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

Post-AOR, I received an additional document request, basically to upload 3 police certificates.

For two of them, the deadline is 29 August 2017, which is fine, I have them ready. However, for the other one (Singapore, which requires a request letter from IRCC and process is pretty long), the deadline is 22nd October 2017.

I have already uploaded the two first police certificates in the corresponding placeholders. The last one, I do not have it yet (applied) and IRCC gave me the time to obtain it.

My problem: after uploading the two police certificates, the status of the placeholders changed to "document uploaded, not submitted to IRCC". In my understanding, if I want to meet the August 29 deadline and submit both police certificates to IRCC, I have to click "next" at the bottom right of the page, which leads me to the "PR documents checklist" and my signature.

If I proceed to submit the final application without the last police certificate, I assume my application will be rejected because would be incomplete. However, if I don't submit it before August 29, IRCC might say I did not respect the deadline to submit two out of 3 documents.

What to do? Appreciate any advice you may have.
Your application will not be rejected, since the deadline is there. In an eventuality after submitting the document, the placeholder for Singapore PCC is no longer there, you can submit the document by CSE.

please do not speculate, what you got is standard reply. If you would like to know if your have SS or what stage of the application you have cleared, you should get GCMS notes. It i important to know which stage you have cleared. To read on stages an application goes through, see

https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

To see how the notes look like and what they contain see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/gcms-notes-look-like-order/

No, to read on s15 and s16 see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/s15-s16-top-right-gcms-denote/

If you are under SS, you will see them expressly in the notes where you see the different dates and how the application has moved.

Thanks for your reply. But the number i got is UCI number.
It looks like this CAN0000XXXXXXXX. Is this something i should be concerned about?
No, this is just the internal numbering system. As long as you have a number, you are good.

Thank you for the reply, I believe this is the only way to go.
