Hi guys i need your assistance.I applied study permit while i am here in Canada and after 3months i received a letter that the Cic is not satisfied and this is what they asking.

Monthly detailed bank statements for all, and any, Canadian bank accounts for
the period January 2016 to present. Should the statements contain large
deposits in excess of $1,000, you are to provide proof of the source

Can someone help me what does you are to provide proof of the source means?

Thank you very much

It means you need to provide proof of where that money came from (i.e. who gave it to you or how you earned it).

for example I borrow the money from my friend what kind of proof i need to provide ? thank you

You're probably guaranteeing another refusal if you borrowed the money from a friend. CIC will be concerned the funds aren't actually yours. They want to see that the funds are yours. That's why they are asking for proof.

Even if i have enough fund to study and i only borrowed money for my extra fund?

You need to have enough funds to cover your first year tuition - plus an additional $10K in living expenses. Do you have enough of your own money to cover all of this?

CIC wants to see if the money you have in your account is yours from legitimate source, or did you earned it from cash jobs. Borrowing from friend might also be considered as cash/direct deposits which any cash employer will pay.
If its from family (parents/brothers/sisters) you can also attach their statements to support the transfer and mentioning that they would be financialy supporting me for my studies.
But saying those are borrowed from friend might return you with refusal on basis of 'not enough money to support full education'. So be very careful what you reply to them.

Good luck.
