What do you mean by status? It doesn't matter where they process your file as long as you get updates. You would have received an email from VFS stating where your file was sent.

Yes, he is a chennai applicant who will be going to the same college as I do. It took him exactly 6 weeks to get his visa approved.

Hey Guys,
The status finally changed to 'review of eligibility' after 5 weeks. But strangely it says I don't need medical exam. Is that because I already hold TRV or does the medical get updated later? I applied on 21st July via Chennai VFS.

hi guys ... applied on 7th July from Chennai VFS ... medical passed and review of eligibility started on Aug 4th... no updates later... This is my second attempt after a refusal on June 27th under SPP... now applied in Non SPP... I have a 5 years gap ( Work experience)

Work experience is not counted as gap if you provide them with valid certificates from your employer. By the way, where was your application sent? You would have got a message telling you where it was sent. I presume it's Bangalore because that's where most of the applications from Chennai was sent.
