Hello, I really need some help.
I am South Korean who married my ex(Canadian citizen) almost 7 years ago in Korea. I have 5-year-old gaughter (Canadian citizen).
We lived in Korea almot 5 years, and moved to Canada 2 years ago. less than 2 years after I married my ex was turned out to have Bipolar (His mother has the same mental illness). When I knew that, I already had my baby girl (7 months old). First time when I sent him to Canada, he threaten me to give him a lot of money, he took the money (about $15,000) and went to his hometown in Canada. His parents called the police and he was sent to the hospital for the treatmet. He got better after he taking the medcation. He came back to Korea almost 8months after and saw the doctor for a while and kept taking the medication. However, a few months after he refused to take the meds and got sick again. He was very agressive and started to do strange things.
I asked him to go back to Canada to get the treatment. After he arrived in Canada, his parents let him being more sick. didn't take him to the hospital right away. I flew to Canda to see him 2 months after he left. He was not well treated by his own parents. That's why I decided to move to Canada to treat him properly.
5 months after that I flew to Canada to buy a beautiful house for us. 3months after that, me and my daughter moved to Canada to join my ex.
He lost so many jobs in Korea, threatened many people. Arrested by police 2 times. Abused me and my mother. He didn't work so much as he kept losing jobs. I had to work like a slave to support him and my daughter.
Life in Canada wasn't great. We only relied on ODSP-fairly small amount of money for 3 family members.
His illness didn't get any better, but I made sure he met the doctor and be on medication. That was the only way me and my daughter could live with him. If he is off medication, he becomes agressive and horrible, I had 5 years of that, didn't want to have it anymore.
His parents (mom-Bipolar(No medication) dad- horrible person (Only care about money)) frequently told my ex that he should not be on medicaion. They never supported us at all. I let my ex's older brother live at our house last summer for a couple of months. I think he has a mental illness too. He became very agressive and threatened me to kick me out or Canada and call the immigrtion. He also told my ex not to be on meds. I reported him to the police as he refused to move out. Finally he moved out but he kept telling my ex -no medication.
