*Bare with me, my situation is a little complex*

For starters, I'm originally an American Citizen that has since moved to Canada after my husband and I got engaged. We were living in Ontario at the time and were renting an apartment together. We were married in February of 2017 and I had to file to extend my stay in Canada as a visitor in order to maintain valid status while we applied for Permanent Residence. In the very beginning of June, we submitted an application for Permanent Residence via the Family Sponsorship class, after months of getting things together. After we submitted that, things started getting rough for us financially due to my husband's hours getting reduced(and obviously I can’t work in Canada yet). This resulted in us having to move out of our apartment and trek across the country to BC. We are now living in Vancouver with his parents for a little bit until we can get back on our feet. We had our mail forwarded(luckily) and when we arrived, we had an unpleasant surprise in the mailbox already; The CIC had returned our application. They said a specific form was missing, but when I checked through the package they sent back for it, it was in there. The funny thing is, I clearly labeled and organized everything so it was easier to follow. So needless to say, we were livid.

Currently, we are looking to resubmit our application, but now it’s much more difficult. In order to submit it again, we may have to get BC driver licenses and tons of other proof($$$) from this new province that we’re somehow tied together. OR is it possible for us to just use everything from Ontario again, and just put our mailing address as BC? Either way I have to file for ANOTHER extension because my status expires on the 1st of September. We can’t really afford to jump through all these hoops to get all this proof from BC, so hopefully someone has some insight. This is such a nightmare. Please help.

Thanks!

Check all of the dates on the forms you used against what's posted on the CIC web site. They are updated from time to time. I'm wondering if it's possible you accidentally used an outdated form and that's the reason why your application was returned. Good luck.

Nope, the forms were current when we submitted the application.
They said that we forgot my husband's most recent Notice of Assessment, but we didn't. It was in there.
Now that we have to resubmit though, we have to use different forms because they have updated them since we submitted the application the first time.
Thanks for the advice! :)
