Hey all,
So this isn't suppose to be mean or taken the wrong way, just an observation I've seen..
I'm a US outland Common law spousal PR applicant from Early Feb. Still in Mississauga. some of us are realllly getting held back and when we call- all we are told is "we have everything we need. just wait for a transfer."
Yet I see people from other countries like NDVO and LVO getting transferred right away and getting PR very quickly, specially NDVO. majority of people from Feb who went to NDVO are allready Pr or have PPR...
Anyone have an idea what's happening in Mississauga?

There are many people being processed at NDVO and LVO from 2016 who still has not gotten PPR. Some people will get processed in 4-5 months but the vast majority will wait at least 6 months. Ottawa has been consistently the fastest VO and now we are seeing a slowdown probably a bit of backlog but still it's not comparable to the average processing time of NDVO or LVO. If you look at older spreadsheet (Nov-Janaury) you will realize Ottawa has been one of the fastest VO if not the fastest. You will probably get transferred and get DM within a month after your transfer.

You applied in February and you're complaining? We applied last July 2016 and have heard NOTHING except that I am an eligible sponsor (which was sent to us in August). I'd take Mississauga processing times over Sydney (Australia) any day.

I have also applied on 22nd March 2017. Sponsorship approved on 21st April 2017 and requested documents also provided. But my file is still at Mississauga and its been 5 months nearly. I don't know why they are taking so long to transfer it to LVO.

He's not complaining - the post clearly states this isn't meant to be taken the wrong way and this is a just an observation. The question is about what could be happening at CPCM that caused some delays that appears to have deviated from expected process - and asking for anyone who may have input to contribute. It's not a competition of who's waiting the longest, it's all extremely hard on everyone and we're all going through the same thing.

I've seen there are a bunch of you stuck at CPC, have any of you applied for notes and received them to figure out what's going on?

Yeah, I applied...but didnt receive them yet....Next week will be 30 days...but my guess is it will take longer as they experiencing delays (nearly everywhere)...But yeah, it would be interesting to see whats happening overthere. However, I think my notes wont contain any useful info...as I guess the application is sitting there and waiting to be opened....

I wonder if resources are being used for the influx of asylum seekers that are crossing the border from the US?

This was my thinking as well but was deemed not possible by a senior member in Facebook as a different office deals with asylum so no, not the case, but it was definitely what I thought was plausible. Guess not!

Last year they had an expected wait time of 17-18 months for outland. Also on top of the fact that you're from Australia.. whereas I'm from the US and generally immigrants from the US see DM in 3-6 months.. so no point in comparing.
that's why some of us are worried.

And Sydney is 8 months, so that's why we're worried.
