Hey guys,

Just have a few questions about my application.

Firstly I will be applying outland from inside Canada. So this is box I select and send my application off to correct?

Second, because we spend a lot of time moving around and not in one place, We lived in Canada for 1.5yrs then moved to Aus for 1yr now back in Canada(May 2017). I will be getting our landlords or people we rented off to write a letter saying that we were living at the address together. Is there a certain way I need to get the letter written out? Is something like this ok.

To whom it may concern,

I _________________ would like to confirm that _________________ and _________________ were living together with me at _________________ between the dates from 18/05/2016 to 23/02/2017.

If you have any question I can be reached at,

Email:
Phone:

Thank you,

_______________

And dose it have to be signed by a public notary(JP)? or is just the original copy fine?

Also regarding the copy of birth certificates, I only need to do that for myself? not all my family members back in Aus that are not coming/applying?

And with the sponsors 5yr work history, what if you fill up all the boxes before you go back 5yrs? we only made it back to 2016/02 because of all the traveling we did in-between.

I'm sure ill have a lot more questions as I go through the application, so thanks everyone.

Hi

1. Except you aren't outside of Canada. Select option 3.

2. Are you low on other address proofs? No actual leases/rental agreements?

3. Only your birth certificate.

1. Yes that makes sense.

2. Yea I don't have any actual rental agreements with both our names on it. I should be able to get one for 2015/1 to 2016/03 but the rest would have to be from the people we rented off.

3. Awesome

Thanks

And what about other address proofs? Bank statements, utility bills, government letters etc.?

All the letters go to my work, on the application I put down different mailing and residential address. So I have letters with my work address on them but nothing for the residential address. I think all I can do is write a very detailed letter of explanation about it

The whole basis of the app requires that you prove you are legally common-law. A letter of explanation isn't going to cut it, especially when you say you have over 2.5 years of living together.

And that's why id need to get the landlords to write a letter. Because when we were renting we don't get utility bills under our names. We have a joint bank account under my work address and car insurance under my work address

You could have anyone write a letter and say that you guys were living together and even get them notarized. However, without other address proofs to back that up, the letters won't count for much.

Payslips? Tax documents? Phone bills? Doctor letters? Addresses on IDS? Amazon/ebay/etc. shipping receipts?

I guess that makes sense, we have heaps of Amazon/eBay receipts and pay slips, so hopefully that will be ok. Ill still get the letters done as well cause it cant hurt. Do you think the letter need to be notarized or just the original signed copies will be ok?

Yes, I would get the landlord letters notarized.
