Hello,

I am attempting to sponsor my wife from Lebanon to Canada via spousal sponsorship. While filling out forms it seems apparent that the applicant submits the forms but on the checklist it seems like me, as the sponsor, should submit the form.

I would just like some clarification on the situation, I am under the impression as the sponsor I would have all her forms completed; as well as mine before packaging them together and sending them within Canada to the Mississauga office. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

1/ The sponsor submits both the application and the sponsorship.

So I submit the application from within Canada to the office I described? Is it considered an in-land application because I reside within Canada or is it an out-land application because the applicant resides outside of Canada?

No. It is all to do with how you answer the set of questions on the checklist as to whether you are applying as inland vs outland. Read here:

Ohh, so I send the application in-land but she, as an applicant is an out-land situation because she resides in Lebanon. Thank you very much for the clarification.
No. There is no 'he and she' here and there is no 'two applications'. You are submitting ONE application and one application only. It is the whole application that is inland or outland.

I meant do I send the application package from inside Canada (as the sponsor) but the entire application is an outland application because the applicant resides outside Canada.

It does not matter in the slightest WHERE the application pack is posted from if that is what you are asking.
