Hi Guys,

Here is my timeline, is it normal ? Because I saw someone AOR at July 1st and got Med passed on July 19th

Stream: CEC
AOR: Jun 30
Application status: We received your application.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided are being reviewed.
Interview You do not need an interview: We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints: We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check Not applicable

Applied within Canada, so I guess it is considered as inland ?

Is CEC usually slower then FSW ?

Do I get an email with med is passed or BG become IP1 ?

BTW, It is an application for my common law partner and myself.

Thanks you guys in advance.

Cheers.

Oh that explains a lot then, no problem.
You will get medicals passed and IP1 in 20-25 days. Good Luck:)

Hi KiranK,

Below is the current status:-

- Medical test passed 20 July 2017
- We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Please tell me in which stage I am, I guess IP1.

Thanks a lot :)

These terminologies cic uses are quite confusing to point out specifically what stage one is on...... I have " application is in progress and we will let you know once we start your BG check"....isn't that IP1 ?

Here we have another status that is IP1 .....which is similar to IP2.

Quite confusing

@Rravindran, you are correct, I am in a situaation where the IP2 message showed up for a few hours (possibly half a day) surrounded by NA. If I had missed seeing it I may have thought I was still in NA1. But apparently I am in NA2 right now ... keeping fingers crossed .. nothing much I could do about it.

Yes they do keep changing wordings, best way is to go by date of BGC, if close to or before medicals its IP1, if later then IP2.
